to those who are clueless on what's happening; ticket presale for Ariana Grande new tour slated for next year was happening earlier this week, and despite Ariana turning off the dynamic pricing, most of the ticket are taken by scalpers bots and put on on resale to as high as $1.2Million per ticket, causing angers within the fanbase to the point they put up mass outcry and public petition forcing Ariana and her team to respond.

Artists really need to find a solution for this long term. Im sure there is a solution but companies want it to stay this way.

Going to concerts will continue to be for the rich. Much like sporting events like tennis where dedicated fans either can’t afford it or whatever available tickets are taken by bots and resold at an exorbitant price. It sucks being a fan these days. 

Smaller acts at smaller venues are still reasonable and more intimate.

No need to get too excited, i can also create a listing for 1.2 million tomorrow with my Gaga ticket. No one is going to be paying that price though so it's a bit clickbaity from OP to mention those figures like they mean anything when there are people listing tickets for ridiculous prices all the time. There are most likely cheaper tickets available in secondary too, since most people reselling know no one is going to have 1.2 million for a concert ticket.

unfortunately she can't because:

1. people likely already bought a ticket from a reseller

2. she has deals with ticketmaster and livenation, not seat geek, viagogo, stubhub, or any of the other ticket resale platforms. so she cannot control the rules for those events. allegedly they claim all resale tickets not resold through ticketmaster are "void", but that is never true and they never check the name on the tickets since the venue staff doesn't actually care and has better things to do with their time like security screening and checking for ''dangerous'' forbidden items like umbrellas.

Nothing is clickbaity, that part is in article, not in the title. You should already clicked on the article before you reach to that part of the article. 
 

Also, you'd be surprised. Especially if this is sold in state like NYC, a home to approx 384,500 of millionaires, according to recent 2025 report by Henley & Partners. There were tickets thats sold for 200K in first leg of The Mayhem Ball there and it was sold.

it takes guts and it is doable.

in 2023 Robert Smith of The Cure cancelled about 7K of tickets that identified on reseller sites, in matter of days after the reseller nabbed most of tickets, they don't even get refunded for it. All the money were donated to Amnesty International. And those cancelled tickets instantly made available on the official ticketing partners afterwards. And there are no reports of the band or Robert, personally, getting sued for it.
