My favorite by far ! The Dolby Atmos version is insane - the autotuned vocals in the chorus are pure bliss.

If there had been a bridge, I like to imagine HML-style autotune, with the music stripped back to nothing but the electric guitar on its own 🤩🎶

Period. The synths and the electric guitars in the chorus and outro are elite and would’ve loved a guitar solo as the bridge tbh

@AVeryGagaHolyDickSong has grown on me, tbh. Biggest sin, imo, is the lack of a bridge. Makes it feel like it doesn’t really go anywhere, but enjoy it more than I ever have in the expanded tracklisting :vegas: (not a very fun hot take, ik haha)

It’s grown on me too! My biggest issue with it was the melody and production in the verses, and I got used to it eventually. As a non native English speaker, I often give the sound more importance than the words that I don’t always understand. And then I read the lyrics to the verses and they’re great! So yeah, I’m more than okay with the song now. And I love the chorus. Now my only issue is (as others have said) the subject of the song, love/drug is soooooo overdone

I get that, tbh. I can also see, from that POV, why the rhythmic phrasing on Happy Mistake would bother you, but, tbf, in a lot of confessional Americana music, that rambling, almost spoken cadence (like she does in the verses of LD) is pretty common. But agreed that the subject matter is def a bit overdone, but it’s a solid entry into the canon of songs about love being addictive. Hear, hear :vegas:
