From what I remember, it starts off as this haunting ambient soundscape and then she goes YEAHILLKEEPON and we get a disco jumpscare This. Tbh I would find it more interesting if it kept that haunting trancey vibe from the beginning and a more unique chorus. At least trance would be a different sound that isn't really on Mayhem. OR, more of the synths that are in the "creature of the night" part of the second verse. Edited 23 hours ago by Bling 1
50 Ft Queenie 430
Ok sure, I love it. Also it sounds nothing like bloody Mary at all, even the synths Free Palestine 🍉
cd9904 204
I love the instrumental, production. The lyrics are ok, but the post-chorus is so repetitive ddd For now, I think it’s the weakest song in Mayhem.
JohnWayne92 2,215
At the end of the day - monsters box Gaga in more than the general public. Everyone hates HBDYWM for example - meanwhile songs like Eh Eh exist all the way back to The Fame. Gaga does multiple genres multiple ways - while I don’t think the video is a slay - this is Gaga, The Dead Dance has a killer chorus with the “killed me inside - came alive-“ section. Not everything has to be BTW/Fame Monster and not every single has to be your personal choice. I say eat while the getting is good. I remember the droughts.
