She performed TDD twice and Abracadabra 5 times before the show start.

she only performed dead dance and abracadabra before the show start, no other songs were used.

There was a break between Abra and TDD every time. They were never performed back to back live, they're just going to be edited together to appear back to back for the VMAs. But yes, after they filmed a few takes of Abra and TDD separately, they restarted the show from the beginning (BM into Abra etc).

Imagine after recording Abra and dead dance 27 times, she goes backstage, the video monitor turns on, and it’s her taking off her wig and costume, putting on the beanie and performing HBDYWM and then they all bow as “AYO” plays and then Gaga leaves the stage, lights turn on, and the audience goes home
