Guillaume Hamon 6,531
People are still basing themselves on the 25 millions $ loss myth? I don't remember the details but it was debunked right away yet still spreading for months back then... Sad it's still a thing. Mars 2,377
ARTPOP is so iconic, still to this day it refuses to be pinned down and put into a box. 3

PartySick 160,860
Ain't no way this man is referring to either HIStory or Blood on the Dance Floor as a "flop" when they're the best selling two-disc album of all time and best selling remix album of all time respectively And his info on Invincible is so flawed Michael wasn't the only artist that was pissed off at Sony. A TON of their black artists felt shafted and were protesting the lack of promotion and resources given to their albums. Sony just had a special target on him 'cause he owned so much of the company's shares and basically had them over a barrel half the time as their biggest earner. And an Invincible Tour was planned but cancelled after 9/11, just like a lot of other artists cancelled their tours Not to mention the amount of meddling the label did during Invincible's production, forcing Michael to shelve songs like "Shout", "Hollywood Tonight", and "We've Had Enough" 'cause the themes were "too heavy". Instead, he had to put flowery love songs and was only really able to touch on the state of the world in "Cry" And despite being a """flop""" the album's gone platinum over a dozen times Mr. Ballz, fix your info You're stinky 3

Chromanne 1,490
ARTPOP was literally the ninth best selling album of 2013 (over 2.3 million pure sales) despite being released in November, with 2 successful singles Applause and DWUY. There is no way Interscope lost $25 million. At that time, female artists were highly competitive and fandoms often pit them against each other. This was just a fake rumour spread by Katycats and other fandoms. But it's indeed true that ARTPOP wasn't as massive as it was intended to be especially when we compare ARTPOP with her previous albums.
