Bc late night is a dying format, SNL covers the same demographic but with more eyeballs and performances (richer opportunity), and as for why not both it’s simple that she didn’t need to do both. Mayhem didn’t need to be knocking on every door for listens, it needed big promo slots with high richness and value—Howard Stern, SNL, Las Culturistas, the various web promo slots like hot ones, Coachella, Copa. All of these generate headlines across many demographics that are way more tuned in than a talk show one. It’s a matter of using time smarter not harder even though she really went hard at the album drop.
