Out of all the visuals we've had so far for this album I was expecting the cover to be a bit... more... it is pretty though.

i'm genuinely getting tired of this era of multiple versions of the album art. 

Even with Gaga, I love the MAYHEM album cover and sure the alternate ones are great too but the OG is so catching and iconic like her other album covers.

with Taylor Swift's new album, all of them are so bad and the "main" one isn't striking enough of an image to sear in your memory like other album covers have been lately. Same with Ariana's album last year, I'm glad she settled on the double pony tail cover for streaming but none of those other ones were necessary and it was so clear it was just about selling more vinyls. 

it just feels wasteful, greedy, like the artist can't just decide on one image to represent the whole album.

Not only is it transparently greedy, it also dulls the long-term artistic impact of albums by having more than one single visual to represent the music
