it was impossible to keep up the momentum she had with the mayhem promo shows and copacabana, that in itself was already a big re-peak that lasted for weeks, her numbers were literally insane, she ran the game for some months.

Sure, it slowed down a bit towards june but she had the world tour to prepare for and she gave us tudum.

And there's more to come IMO, I'm still counting with at least 1 new MV and hopefully the deluxe that will include dead dance.

Tours are exciting when you go to them. If you cant it's only exciting to see the opening night and some highlights here and there. An era being properly executed with multiple singles , mvs etc is more far reaching and helps extend the hype for an era. In my opinion I wish she could do both....film music videos and extend the era musiocally speaking with a re release as well as tour but sadly it hasnt been something she's been able to balance out for a while now...oh well.

Right? As a fan I know we wanted and kinda expected more from this album era after COVID messed up all her plans for Chromatica...

I thought she had years to plan the ultimate era since this will be the last album for a while...

She was still promoting BTW and Judas even during the Monster Ball tour...

She better have a mini ep or something but maybe Dead Dance is what we need to get the Mayhem era back on track if its part of a deluxe version or something and treated as a "new single" for that or something

4 reasons:

1) people didn't stream music in 2011 and tiktok didn't exist

2) touring makes way more money than a hit single ever could, especially in the age of streaming

3) she was still a debut act in 2011 so she had to keep promoting to sell records and tickets

4) her schedule back then was incredibly unhealthy. to use her promoting a new single whilst on tour should never be the standard, considering that behaviour broke her body

if mayhem had any hits left, they would be hits right now... some songs were sent to some radios but nothing took off. the music industry in 2011 is a completely different industry to 2025, nobody has big pop eras anymore... this isn't gaga having a bad team, it's steaming and capitalism cutting costs wherever possible

lets just be grateful we're not beyonce stans rn...
