Follow up to my previous Madonna thread. Like Madonna's albums, I have been listening to Lana's albums for years, so I had lots of space to form opinions and allow for them to change or evolve with time, therefore I now feel pretty confidents in these rankings. :lana:

artworks-H4XUTb0FJzJGrCkw-Iz2nEw-t500x500.png Sirens★★ beautiful collection of folk songs, touching, strong melodies

Lana_Del_Ray_-_Lana_Del_Ray_(2010).png Lana Del Ray a.k.a. Lizzy Grant - underrated alternative pop-rock masterpiece, playful unique mix of sounds

BornToDieAlbumCover.png Born to Die -  cinamatic masterpiece, cultural reset, top notch quality

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQFOJaWPF5hOSQN5xKLeRc-8bcUmH-bj5Sg9w&s Paradise -  amazing, lush, powerful melodies and instrumentals

UltraviolenceLDR.png Ultraviolence – dark masterpiece, stunning blend of psychedelic, hard rock and retro pop

Lana_Del_Rey_-_Honeymoon_(Official_Album_Cover).pngHoneymoon –  spectacular record, lush, serene, magnum opus, incredible melodies and instrumentals

Lana_Del_Rey_-_Lust_for_Life.png Lust for Life – ★★ not perfect, but classic & multiple strong moments

Lana_Del_Rey_-_Norman_Fucking_Rockwell.png Norman ****ing Rockwell! – ★★ has strenghts and weaknesses, not top-notch, somewhat incosistent

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTgNJvgTG4_FoxrGb2TfOQwO3cY78vplxUqBg&s Chemtrails Over the County Club – ★★ a quiet and hidden gem, gets better with time

Lana_Del_Rey_-_Blue_Banisters_cover.png Blue Banisters – ★★★★ Lana's worst album, unfocused, flat, piano boredom

Lana_Del_Rey_-_Did_You_Know_That_There's_a_Tunnel_Under_Ocean_Blvd.png Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd – ★★★ it has its moments, but overall weak and lacking a clear direction, not quite there

Wtf I thought she only had like 3 albums :air:

Sirens is an unreleased demos album before fame and Lana Del Ray a.k.a. Lizzy Grant was briefly released and pulled back, but still- she is very profilic and didn't go more than 2 years without releasing a new album since she debuted. :lana:

Hmm, I think those must be Dear Elliot, A Star For Nick and Art Deco (Parov Stelar Artifact Version)! :sis::heart:

The album that brought JACK antonOFF and his acoustic obssesion into the picture and showed the first signs of decline & lacked the bridges which were always Lana's best? :bradley:

I'll take an album of perfect tracks over subpar songs with stellar bridges (Im looking at you, Sad Girl)

You can hate on Jack all you want, but this album is a masterpiece, and I will die on this hill (and later be resurrected by the piano in the beginning of the titular track)

1-Born To Die - Amazing. Her best.

2-Paradise - Great followup. Solid Ep/album.

3-Ultraviolence - at first sounded like a downgrade but aged well and is solid.

4-Honeymoon - Love at first listen, solid album that merges sounds from albums prior.

5-Lust For Life - her safest record? But overall an enjoyable record.

6-Norman F Rockwell - Overrated imo. Not my thing at all.

Every album that came after - Who? What? Do I even care?

Ocean Blvd = one of the most beautiful conceptual albums I've heard, her best album to date.

NFR = California compressed in mp3, absolutely incredible, her second masterpiece.

Ultraviolence = consistent and great production, not very good lyrically but still her 3rd best.

I don't care for the rest

BTD - groundbreaking album, did not age well for me

Paradise - some of her most gorgeous songs

UV - one of the best bodies of work ever created, untouchable

HM - beautiful record, has a feel like no other, bogged down by the cover at the end

LFL - was really good at the time, has not aged well at all

NFR - i didn't like it as much as everyone else for years, but recently has grown on me and i can see why people think it's her best. it has so much gravitas

COCC - my least favorite by so far, i just do not like this album and it was one of the most disappointing first listen ever - especially because the first 2 songs are top 5 in her discography and really set me up

BB - i love this album with all my heart, it encapsulates a time for me that i'll cherish forever

DYK - her best album, masterpieces left and right

chaeri pls

Mirrion Rizzons

Born To Die 4.5/5

:golfclap: Timeless, a cultural reset, the BLUEPRINT, bettered with Paradise

Ultraviolence 5/5

Lana at her PEAK, honest, gritty, and perfect melancholia

Honeymoon 4/5

Confident, smooth, jazzy, and fresh

Lust For Life 3/5

Beautiful lyricism, but feels bloated and would be better with the middle act cut.

NFR 5/5

A modern masterpiece - UV melancholia but make it even more summery

COTCC 4/5

Underrated, grown on me massively over the years. Slick and production is great.

Blue Banisters 5/5

Top 3 Lana album, home to some of her best songs.

DYKTTATUOB 4/5

Home to some of her saddest and best written songs, love the mix of styles.

So many of you love Blue Banisters, and it came out soon after Chemtrails which I love, why I do not get the album? :bradley: Is it a grower that takes 5 years+ to enjoy?
