genuine question are you trolling? because which major pop acts are making music like lana?

there's billie eilish, sure but that's just one artist... she shaped today's music scene? that's what gaga did with her debut when the charts became filled with dance music but the charts aren't exactly filled with lana-esque songs...

I think you’re the one who’s trolling.

Her continued success is really admirable + the fact that she loves marketing and strengthening / polishing her brand 👏🏻👏🏻

We kinda expect her new songs to all have kinda the same chords, tempo, teen-pop production, talk-singing, and a vocal range that spans less than an octave...

I won't be surprised if more artists divert their future catalogue to this generic formula... as tho so many records on the chart do not alr sound so similar... genres are slowly disappearing... :bradley:

still no examples?

I don’t want to waste my time for a person that is aggressive towards me so here’s a passage from ChatGPT

Lana Del Rey has become one of the most quietly transformative figures in modern music, and her influence is especially visible in the 2020s, where the intimate, melancholic singer-songwriter aesthetic she pioneered has become mainstream. Her landmark 2012 album Born to Die—still on the Billboard 200 over a decade later—set the template for cinematic pop that blends hip-hop beats, vintage Americana, and confessional lyricism, and the ripple effects are everywhere. Billie Eilish has often described Lana as a formative influence, with her whispered vocals and dark, minimalist production echoing Lana’s early blueprint. Taylor Swift’s reinvention on folklore and evermore, leaning into indie-folk storytelling and atmospheric restraint, has been widely read as indebted to Lana’s artistry. Lorde has acknowledged Lana’s impact directly, with Pure Heroine and Melodrama drawing from her moody, suburban ennui. Halsey credits Ultraviolence for inspiring her own narrative-driven pop, while Phoebe Bridgers’ Punisher and Clairo’s Immunity trace their diaristic intimacy back to Lana’s ethos. Olivia Rodrigo has named Lana as one of her idols, with Sour and Guts mixing teenage confessionals with vintage melancholia in a Lana-esque way. Mitski’s Be the Cowboy and Laurel Hell channel similar themes of feminine interiority and cinematic sadness. Gracie Abrams and Maggie Rogers carry forward Lana’s blend of indie-pop vulnerability and lyrical poetics. Even mainstream artists like The Weeknd—who has collaborated with Lana and called her an inspiration—adopted her noir, cinematic sensibility, which also echoes in the music of Troye Sivan and Khalid. Florence Welch (Florence + the Machine), Sky Ferreira, and FKA twigs have all drawn comparisons to Lana’s baroque pop stylings, while Cigarettes After Sex, Arctic Monkeys (especially on Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino), and Father John Misty reflect her influence in the indie and alternative space. Younger acts like Conan Gray, Beabadoobee, Ethel Cain, Girl in Red, and Holly Humberstone openly cite Lana as an inspiration, continuing her legacy of vulnerable yet grandiose storytelling. Even artists outside the typical indie-pop lane—Doja Cat, SZA, and Rosalía—have been linked to Lana’s willingness to blur genre boundaries and build entire aesthetics around atmosphere and persona. In short,

Lana Del Rey reshaped the musical landscape so thoroughly that the 2020s singer-songwriter resurgence, the dominance of alt-pop, and the normalization of moody, literary, and cinematic pop can all be traced back to the path she carved, with Born to Die still serving as the foundation stone for an entire generation’s sound.

i'm not being aggressive, i'm asking a fair question of where lana's influence has been bigger on the music scene than lady gaga, beyonce and taylor swift :ladyhaha: i even gave you the free example of billie eilish :ladyhaha:

i'm not reading anything AI generated because since you're so sure about this, you should be able to easily answer this yourself

I mean, from here and social media like twitter alone, there has been quite a few monsters who felt they are too good to support Gaga, and enjoying criticizing her more instead. When asked about voting for VMA currently, many feels like those are teenagers game, but yet, they also wished Gaga to win those categories, like? Those poll not gonna vote itself tbh, and it is giving thoughts and prayers energy

Also, when Gaga didn't perform Abracadabra in that SNL event and then monsters were fuming and saying they wouldn't stream the song anymore :triggered: It was embarassing

Big in numbers, yes, but artistically she's just mediocre.

Midnights is one of the worst most cringe things I've heard. I haven't listened to TTPD but clearly many did not like it. The fact she wins all these awards like candy for low-quality work is actually insane to me. If anybody else made albums like that (Gaga included), their Metacritic ratings would be from 60s to low 70s, with no AOTY nomination or win.

Genuinely seeing people quote her cringe lyrics makes me think how much of this world is truly Disney kid energy. Please get a vibe.

Lana arguably has the most influence on today’s female music scene, she changed the direction and she influenced a lot including Taylor.

no fr like gaga had an impact then and there but as we see with the industry trends move on quickly as soon as they appear with lana her aesthetic and more so just overall storytelling is what is shaping music now it’s just we are in this part where we need the people we look up to to have a level of real and relatability

Just proves how we’re in a a sorry state of pop music. Her music is catered towards the masses and the masses don’t have great taste.
