It just feels like... what are you really doing this for? I understand that more success means more promotion & money from a label etc etc etc, but if Gaga has taught us anything, it's that even the biggest act in the world can be stifled and shafted through their label. I'd honestly rather hear more of an artist's genuine vision than something strategically made for overall commercial appeal and profitability. perfectly said So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Well, the popularity I was referring to was amongst the voters, not the general public. I do agree racism and sexism played an important role, I just see them as factors in said "popularity" field, you know? meltedplastic 351
A lot of the best artists of our lifetime don't have many Grammys. For instance, 143 got totally snubbed.

Wet Fire 7,543
Looking back you just see the number of Grammys won by Madonna, Whitney, Celine or Mariah do not match their incomparable legacy I'm glad Gaga is one of few artists who has the accolades she deserves! Like girl, we love you. You’ve MADE it!! She’s such a talented and unique artist. but her stories - and sometimes posts - are a mess. She is SO focused on charts. Constantly sharing which album/song of hers has been the most streamed etc. Dont get me wrong, it’s okay to be passionate. But this sales talk on stories etc is so tacky and corny. I had to mute her stories lol
