Bad Romance, Alejandro and Dance In The Dark carry that album hard and deserved Album of the Year even if it still won those 2 well deserved Grammys and made the impact it did. As a Gaga fan for almost 2 decades I have to say that right now Mayhem takes the lead because at this point in her career to be making songs like Disease, Abracadabra, Vanish Into You at the same level of the ones I mentioned after having a not so amazing run (Gaga’s standards) with ARTPOP, Joanne and Chromatica. Well, just to put it like this, The Fame Monster only has 8 great songs, Mayhem’s first 8 songs are up to that level just like Born This Way. I don't understand this whole thing about recency bias... it's been 6 months since the album release already and I know half of you stopped streaming it. But if you're going to compare Abracadabra, Disease, Garden of Eden, Vanish Into You, Perfect Celebrity, LoveDrug, DWAS to Telephone, Alejandro, Dance in the Overrated Dark, Speechless..... come on now. But if Mayhem was an EP with the first 7 tracks + Can't Stop The High or Happy Mistake as extras it would be as good if not better than The Fame Monster. but I must admit the lyricism in TFM is phenomenal – like, making a 5 minute pop song with a whole verse referencing Hitch**** is insane. something I missed on Mayhem.
