Why didn’t Gaga hit top 10 with Abra but Chappell and Sabrina do so easily

Idk what kind of voodoo happened but yes I still think Abra is bigger than those and prob all her songs bar PPC, GLB for now

so sad for abra’s peak

I’m always a bit sad for BR’s peak because I thought it was robbed from #1, but Abra’s peak is even sadder.

Simply because of the timing... Its peak #13 had more points than current #3 :icega:

Thanks to SuperBowl and Grammys :madge:

Always seems to be something with her, but at least the music always slays. I just wish she had the chart positions she deserves.

The song turned heads, got people talking, the video is iconic and was a relevant moment in pop culture this year, it was top 5 worldwide, good positions in Europe, in countries where Gaga hadn't entered the charts for years, it has more than 500 million streams on Spotify, it's already an iconic and well-known song in her discography and this without the need to enter the top 10 of the Hot 100, even so people continue to care and give importance to that chart, make it make sense.

Quizás bastaba respirar, sólo respirar, muy lento...💙

Let's be real if she released Abra on Friday instead of Sunday, it would have peaked top 10

But it's fine Abracadabra is like the biggest solo single she released since BTW era easily

Actually Abra was released on Monday morning. It lost 3 full tracking days and 4 hours on top of that :messga:

However its second week had even better streams than first

It felt like streams kept building just because I kept hearing it more and more.

Abra could've peaked higher on Hot 100 if Gaga & Interscope sold physical copies (CD single/vinyl). Look at Stupid Love, it debuted high on Hot 100 with physicals. It looks like they focused on MAYHEM album physical copies this era.

Anyways, Abracadabra is still a GLOBAL TOP 5 HIT. Just in case some of you are still confused, "Hot 100" is USA only (radio + sales + streaming.)

"Billboard Global 200" is USA + more than 200 territories (digital sales + streaming) & Abra peaked #5 on Billboard Global 200 with 8 weeks Top 10.

And let's hope this teaches many of you how worthless is the hot 100. The most fake, manufactured and manipulated chart

This is actually a great perspective and great information! Thanks

Y'all sometimes forget that Gaga to many in the GP still is GaGa with meat dress and kooky lyrics. One of my favorite things to do is watch straight dudes react to her music on YouTube (I also unpacked that to a certain degree and came to the conclusion that getting validation from random straight men is healing my 13 y/o teen that always felt the need to justify and explain my love to her to classmates.. who knows), and boy oh boy, all of their last touch point with Gaga's music is Poker Face, BR and maaaybe Shallow. A lot of them channels heard BTW (song) for the first time in 2025.

I do usually think Gaga is more well known to the GP than that, but maybe it’s because my personal world of people is filled with people (even straight people) who do know a lot about Gaga. It’s crazy to me that people would still only know her earliest hits! But I do enjoy watching straight boy music react videos too.

I also always assumed her music is more known by the straights and I'm pretty sure most of the people know of her, but knowing of her and knowing her music are two different things I guess. I even saw a few reaction videos to Abracadabra when it came out that had the "no no no, I don't **** with this satan scheiße" and thought it must have been a joke, but they were serious :wtfga:

Ugh that’s crazy. But honestly given the huge push in the US to have religion dictate the laws and the government recently, this sort of new Puritanism is growing and I’m not surprised to hear that, at the same time.

Because Interflop didnt release physicals

While it became a viral hit on social media...that oddly didnt translate to charts for some reason
