Jawline4dayz 335
I have a Roomate who stans Madonna. We were listening to Ray of Light yesterday and it almost gave me a head ache. All her tracks sound like this new age spiritual enlightenment that I agreed not to board. I don’t need to unlock my third eye (unless it’s my brown eye ) and transport to a plane of awakening. I just wanna dance!
Bronco 11,346
Ray of Light is her magnum opus. It is the pinnacle of her creativity and her experimenting and risk taking. That said, some of the album tracks aren't songs I revisit regularly. Confessions on a Dancefloor is her best complete era. From launch through to the tour, it is the perfect Madonna era. Easily her best tour production. It is the quintessential Madonna package. And as an album, I listen to it as an album way more than RoL. But there's no denying RoL as an album is the peak of Madonna's magic. 2 2

Nycboy 1,097
Confessions. It’s a flawless start to finish dance album, the same way that Renaissance is (although that one is far better). TBH I like Ray of Light but I think it’s so overrated. Yes, I’m sure it was groundbreaking at its time, but in today’s world I don’t think it holds a candle to new classics like Melodrama or Norman F Rockwell. It gives me spiritual “vibes” but without much deep meaning, if that makes sense.
BeyonkaAte 438
the quality of Ray of Light is unparallelled imo also COADF has like 5 skips for me so the choice was easy Edited August 6 by BeyonkaAte
Mirrion Rizzons 11,009
Confessions is great, but ROL is a listening experience like no other, from production, to lyrics, theme etc. ROL takes the cake 1

If you wanna dance, listen to Confessions On A Dancefloor, True Blue, MDNA, Hard Candy, Madonna, Like A Virgin. Ray Of Light was recorded and released when she was pregnant and gave birth, she was in her mature spiritual era, only this album in her discography is like this Edited August 6 by Lucas 2 1

4th Time Around 4,525
Confessions and Ray of Light are both amazing albums but Like A Prayer is her best in my opinion. Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long

Nine Inch Heels 523
ROL. ROL to me is like her kind of touching the magic of Bjork in a more accessible way, it’s beautiful and artistic and I’m just really stunned she hasn’t gone anywhere near that quality since IMO. I love Confessions too, these are the only two Madonna albums I actually enjoy all the way through Previously: starcell
