liamgaga 515
The ‘I am so done with her’ made me LOL. I don’t think this is her fault I assume it is bigger powers at play. I kinda feel bad for her
llemesm 1,526
First she cancelled ALL of her world tour dates, and now the album is delayed... I mean, you can like or dislike many of today’s pop artists, but the truth is that a lot of them are releasing really good music — or at least well-crafted projects, with solid visuals and strong concepts. Ava Max is just... bad. Her music sounds like mall music, and that’s about it. There’s no artistic foundation or concept behind it. I feel sorry for her, but it seems like the industry is turning its back on her. And honestly, I don’t blame them.

She was getting somewhere with D&D, but what I’ve heard from this album completely sabotages the already little progress she’s made. Shame.

D&D had the budget for a singular music video, what do you think Atlantic is actually putting behind Ava? All in all they seem super controlling of all their artists, it would not surprise me if the label chose to move the album in order to free up resources for Cardi's rollout. She had music videos for two singles, and then decided to make visualizers instead of a third music video. You can't blame the label for not investing in her when she herself doesn't want to be MPG. JohnWayne92 2,166
The Ava Stans trying to say she doesn’t just sample everything - because it’s not her personal discography She sounds the exact same she did when she came out - and yes her name has become synonymous with samples. Like people have stated already - she needs some new and groundbreaking material because she really has been stuck since the beginning. (Her first album almost every song sounds identical)

You can't blame the label for not investing in her when she herself doesn't want to be MPG. She releases a song, disappears and her fans beg her to promote Well we can just call it what it is on Atlantic's behalf, ageism. She's 31, was in her late 20s when some of her music was viral. It very much seems like she was pigeon-holed by the label into EDM/pop. If they wanted her to promote the work, they have the legal means to do so within her contract. The label just does not want to put money behind someone that's not an immediate success. And they're wanting to sign people that are already developing their own careers. D&D sold as if the acronym stood for Dust & Dreams. She can be compelled into promoting her own work by Atlantic, and even if they couldn't, it's pretty standard for labels to have the rights to artists' social media. They could have a PR and marketing team manage her Twitter. She seems to be between management companies again, which I'm sure doesn't make things any easier. 4 hours ago, JohnWayne92 said: The Ava Stans trying to say she doesn’t just sample everything - because it’s not her personal discography She sounds the exact same she did when she came out - and yes her name has become synonymous with samples. And even if not, why would she not get on a track that's going to be promoted by someone else? It's free promo for her. And I also would not be surprised if she's indebted to her label.
