The way ARTPOP aged before release?

Little Monsters are like Star Wars fans... they'll explain to you how Phantom Menace is a terrible movie that they only saw five times in the past year.

I have to disagree just for the fact that some of my favorite artist's 'b-side' albums have been better than the original album

Well I'm stanning a lot of artists and all of them have HUGE amount of stuff that they wrapped (some have full records done in production) and not feeling it and scrap.

People think Gaga is the queen of cancelling stuff but believe me it's just an artist stuff. Gaga is just too vocal sometimes about things that she does. Especially in 'early years'.

I've never seen Star Wars - is Phantom Menace the one with Twista & Too Short?

Kinda staggered people view that answer as 'vague'. In Gaga terms, that's clear as day:laughga:

Spoiler

"Those demos weren't good enough in 2013, so they're certainly not good enough for 2025. If I do return to ARTPOP in the future, it'll be with different songs, not the songs I didn't include on the 2013 album"

Genuinely curious:

Is the ARTPOP Act II crowd hoping for more of that early-2010s EDM sound?

Or for modernized versions of those various (bad) AP demos?

What exactly do they want?

Truth is LMs will never know what they want and when they get anything, they’ll complain.

At the end of the day it’s the mystery of the unknown that makes most obsessed with what we don’t actually have.

Her Act II could mean anything, forever after.

If Gaga were to every release those unreleased known act 2 tracks, it would be a total remake to fit the theme of act 2. This would probably including updating the instrumental, new vocals, etc. I don't ever think we'll see her releasing the 2013 version of the songs ever, but she never outlawed remaking or reworking them (in which I feel like she did a little of it on Mayhem). :iamfair:

I would love to personally love to see a new take on some unreleased tracks that match her current perspective of art and pop culture. Bonus points if she gets Zedd or DJWS back on the production

The scars on my mind are on replay, r-replay

If Gaga would go experimental EDM again for a sequel, I'd give it to AJ Cook, Boys Noize, Baseck, Skrillex. And some pop productions from Cirkut and Dan Nigro.

Madeon and Tchami could return. She worked with them on Chromatica.

What if I told you some of those may have already been reworked and put on other released projects and she didn't say anything?

I’m not even sure I want ARTPOP 1. We’ve moved on. We’re on to MAYHEM and the Mayhem Monster, gurls.  If you’re gonna clown, at least clown for material from this decade.

I'd love if she did ARTPOP with her current state of mind, experiences and creativity. I want to know what ARTPOP is to her as a concept after +10 years and what it would sound like today.

This! I'd love to see her takes on her first four albums from her current perspective.

But where does it end? Then complaining that she hasn’t performed xyz live and wanting uvw on streaming and one track needing a video; all while she has an actual album to promote/feel proud of.

I don't even think I signed that Act 2 petition. I'm not desperate for Gaga to revisit old tracks, and I've actually expressed many times on this forum that unreleased tracks are unreleased for a reason. We're only getting curious and reasonably excited because Gaga is obviously teasing something, I don't know why you would go out of your way bringing people down and opening a thread with a quote we already discussed some place else... a quote that actually says the opposite of the point you're trying to make. We don't have to agree and that's perfectly fine, but this is childish behavior and I honestly don't know what your problem is.

Well that’s called mental illness sweetie. I don’t post on social media. I just want ACT 2 and don’t complain when I don’t get it cause my expectations are low:huntyga:

She included too many caveats (“I wouldn’t say ‘never,’” “it’s not impossible”) for it to be a conclusive no.
