FfFfFfFF 58,492
Archaeologists in Turkey have unearthed a 5th-century church featuring an inscription at its entrance that reads, "Only those on the right path may enter here". The edifice, located in the ancient Kumluca district of Olympus, was found with intricate mosaic patterns and inscriptions, with details suggesting who supported its construction. The church, designated as Church No. 1, is described as being in a basilica style, retaining fragments of mosaic floors typical of Byzantine Christian sites. The discovery also includes the entrance frame and facade remnants, with archaeologists finding various inscriptions that may be linked to funerary practices and potentially contain Christian imagery and references. The inscription, written in Latin, is considered unusual for that time, as such inscriptions were typically in Greek or Hebrew.
