monstertoronto 10,025
They say there are so many hooks and everything is an earworm. But give it a terrible 5.2 before it’s “corny”? Classic”im too cool for this” posturing from Pitchfork. If you can’t find a reviewer that can try to enjoy commercial pop for what it is don’t review it. 2

None of those are bad songs, but none of them got stuck in my head/made me want to instantly press replay. Simon 1,327
Rainbow is still my fav from her. Bastards, Hymn, Praying, Learn To Let Go, Rainbow, Boots, Godzilla, Spaceship - What a run. High Road and Gag Order has some good songs too but not so many. With this album I have some mixed feelings right now - many highs, but many lows too. We'll see in a couple of weeks.

Windowlicker 3,509
I think this album did a great job at re-establishing Kesha's brand of party girl pop that she left behind when everything with Luke started up. Essentially like a re-debut. She's already said she has another album ready to go that she recorded with A. G. Cook, so I expect her to follow this up with something more focused

Pitchfork just tries to predict the popularity of music, and that's all their scores are indicative of. Don't critique actual vocal delivery or production technique, just say it's all catchy but then mimic what you think the GP might say. 59 minutes ago, Windowlicker said: I think this album did a great job at re-establishing Kesha's brand of party girl pop that she left behind when everything with Luke started up. Considering she held off on releasing Attention at the end of the deluxe album, I feel she'll probably release more music relatively soon. But I feel like she'll play it as two sides of the same coin and try to do a bit of both simultaneously. It feels like a bit of the album tries to capitalize on Brat, especially because of her Collab with Charli last year.

Lady Gaga 2009 566
A few days ago I got dragged on here for pointing out a backhanded compliment in Pitchfork's MAYHEM review, when they do shㅤit like this to ALL artists ALL the time. Fㅤuck these pretentious aㅤsshats, Kesha deserves so much better. 2,500,000 people attended Gagacabana 🇧🇷

This is just to reintroduce her to a wider audience again, which makes sense given that she's touring larger venues. A lot of this was recorded in 2023/early 2024 when she was still signed to RCA. Also pre-Brat. "Attention" was also a very recent recording according to Slayyyter.
