i have mixed feelings, is not my favorite if not my least fav song of the album... but im curious to see what happens if she release it cause yeah the song is doing good at streams and has the taylor swift kind of vibe song... if she smart enough she should start lookin for a remix with her

That doesn’t dispute what I said. The songs good streams are largely from non-fans, not because her core fans are obsessed with it. HBDUWM gets perennially dragged on this forum and consistently loses badly in polls for favorite song or desired next single. I’m not saying all Little Monsters dislike it, but a majority of us clearly have neutral to negative feelings on it.
 

The fact is, I don’t think there’s going to be another chart-topping hit from this album, regardless of the song. If she thinks she can drop a video for HBDUWM, send it to radio, and then just disappear onto her tour and hope it grows into a hit…yeah right. It’s gonna flatline. The relative lack of chart success for Abracadabra spoke VOLUMES about the streaming deficits Gaga has and the lack of radio appetite for her music, as well as just how frequently Gaga actually needs to do performance promo to score a solo pop hit (spoiler: it’s a lot, and at level that Gaga has frankly no need or desire to hustle at…we’re talking Benson Boone quantity of performances).

So frankly, if the next song’s not going anywhere chart-wise (which it isn’t), I’d rather just get a video for a more musically and conceptually interesting song that’s also a fan favorite, like VIY.

C'mon Abra is seeing good success in the US, we can't discount the longevity and it will probably surpass the number of weeks of rain on me on the hot 100, that's impressive for a solo effort. 

Plus, it's the most watched female MV from 2025, beating k pop acts, made waves on tiktok and it's impactful culturally AND globally (still slaying the global charts).

Abra is a huge success.

Just because Abra is not hitting #1, does it make it a lack of chart success to you? Do you actually realise that Abra did pretty well chart-wise compared to other songs released this year? Radio? Abra is currently picking up on radio and still stable.

I don't know what chart success means to you, but if hitting #1 and then the song declines, getting kicked out of the chart after 5 weeks is a good parameter, I would prefer a song sitting at the top 40 for weeks + stable daily streams

That is true about literally all of her songs. If you think those billions of streams on all of her catalogue come from hardcore fans, you're wrong. 

Casual listeners represent most of her audience. Judas is streamed daily MOSTLY by casual listeners, same for Bad Romance, same for Bloody Mary, same for literally every song she ever released  (minus the unreleased tracks on YouTube, those probably are played largely by hardcore fans).

That's the problem with your argument: it stands on the delusion that this forum's support will mean anything. "We're not gonna carry the song for her, because we don't like it", as if you guys were EVER capable of carrying a single, whether you liked it or not . 

Not a single one of her releases was carried into commercial success by this forum, "911" got a bubbling under debut . You won't carry HBDUWM into success because you can't, not because you don't want to. This forum does not have that power, period. Casual listeners have decided the fate of ALL of her singles, not this forum and its "core fans", gurl 💀. 

What you would rather or not, is nothing but your opinion. I am also a fan, and I couldn't care less about "Vanish Into You", what then?  are we cancelling any possibility of releasing it as a single just because I don't like it? . Because that's literally your argument: "I don't like HBDUWM so it shouldn't be a single", well I don't like VIY, what about it? . 

Again, there is nothing wrong about you disliking HBDUWM, is just a song, is just music, whatever. It is the entitlement to believe you guys should pick the single, that I find ridiculous . 

No, you don't get to pick the next single because it's not your album . And if you don't like her choice... then don't stream it and that's it? . I didn't like "Hold My Hand" and I never made a scandal about it, I just ignored the song, and moved on, like you should do if you don't like HBDUWM, it's not that serious  

I'm slowly losing my patience with VIY stans and this idea that if they don't get their way, we're gonna have to deal with their tantrums on a daily basis .
