I went to Mayhem in Singapore yesterday, and the show was absolutely incredible — too amazing and hot to handle.

I remember the moment when HBDUWM came on, and almost everyone in the stadium raised their hands with flashlights lighting up the night sky, I really felt it. That song has the power to bring people together. It turned the whole stadium into one heartbeat.

And that was the moment I realized how strangely captivating the song is — even though it’s just a non-single. It was like the song lit up the entire stadium, not just with flashlights, but with something deeper — a shared feeling we all understood without saying a word.

This song is screaming to become the next big hit. And honestly, after witnessing that moment, I believe it deserves to be.

This song is really special to Gaga and it shows when she's performing, maybe that's why the vibe changes so much live. I was at Gagacabana and some friends said the live performance made them change their minds about the song.

Y’ll I told you when Mayhem came out it was one of the strongest tracks, although 90% of people here disliked it for being too mainstream. But it’s the truest song in terms of lyrics. Just love it🧡

Is it a bit Swiftie, yes? 

But the Swiftie pop it sounds like is just reheated Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) nachos. 

I just dont get the hate for it besides the fact some people treat it as a performative measure of coolness and originality to hate on Taylor Swift music. 

Like bubblegum pop is supposed to be unserious fun, HBDUWM is bubblegum perfection. Just enjoy yourselves folks, I promise life will go on.

this doesn’t really surprise me, it’s an emotional and cathartic pop song. sometimes a great and simple pop song can bring people together like nothing else can.

The bubblegum pop sound is very intentionally out of place "The good girl in your dreams / is mad you're loving me / I know you wish that she was me" "You make a bad girl mad"
It's about comparisons with other popstars and about fans never being satisfied IMHO

I think it’s this mixed with people’s distaste for that kind of music. And it’s a shame, because as someone who loves that genre of pop, I can say that she nailed it.
So it may not be their cup of tea, but I hope people come to realize that even in that unusual subgenre (for her discography), she aced it

Thats really not the case tbh. If anything it confirms to me that Taylors music is just not for me cause now that Gaga made a Taylor song I still dont like it lol.
