A lot of content creators are entertaining the notion that it was actually Taylor camp's idea, to leak her alleged conflict with Blake Lively :wtfga:. If Blake legitimately tried to extort Taylor, by contacting Baldoni's lawyer with specific details about this issue, Swift can prevent her private texts to be examined indiscriminately, and get back at Blake, by leading him to the actual evidence he needs to help his case :reductive:

She'd be basically telling Baldoni's attornies: you don't need all my private conversations, all you need from me is this letter exchange between my lawyers and Blake's, and these texts from Blake requesting me to delete evidence; that's all I have that you can benefit from in your case :teenidle:. This way, Taylor is actively getting revenge from Blake, without having to make any sort of public statement whatsoever :ororomunroe:

ALL OF THIS IS SPECULATION OF COURSE. We do not have confirmation about any of this holding any truth to it, besides Bryan Freedman's claims. Now Candance Owens is claiming that Taylor Swift's dad is the one who contacted Baldoni's lawyer, with all this information, but Candance Owens is a show woman, I think she wouldn't hesitate talking nonsense on camera just for the fantasy, and to boost her viewership :huntyga:. So I take that with a grain of salt.

I do find Bryan Freedman's claims to be believable, but we'll never know for sure until this goes on trial :partysick:. I do think Taylor's silence on the matter is loud however.

Her best friend is accusing a man of sexual harrassment, and conducting a smear campaign that has already destroyed her reputation. That man's attorney is now claiming her best friend tried to EXTORT HER, and HER DAD contacted them to reveal this info :stupidoreo:

That is... quite a terrible position for Blake: harrassed, retaliated against, and now accused of extortion? . If Blake is innocent in all of this, that's an extremely stressful, hurtful, unfair position to be in, as a victim :oprah:

Taylor could EASILY change the narrative, with JUST A HEART ON INSTAGRAM, just a single emoji comment on her latest post, A SINGLE INSTAGRAM STORY SAYING "My friend is not blackmailing me, my dad never contacted anybody", ANYTHING :air:. If I am to believe Blake Lively is the victim here, then I can only believe Taylor is deliberately contributing to her pain, by chosing to stay silent and allowing all these crazy narratives against her to grow

So, either I have to believe that Blake is a victim and Taylor is just a horrible friend... or... Blake isn't the victim she claims to be, and Taylor is not defending her, because she knows stuff that we don't. Because both narratives cannot coexist at this point: "Blake is being victimized" and "They're still friends", don't really go together anymore, because Blake is ON THE GROUND :cryga:, and Taylor is quite literally doing nothing to help her.

Blake has also been making odd posts on IG, that some people are interpreting as veiled threats to Taylor. She shared an image of a vintage Spice Girls watch that she had since she was a little girl, and the caption was something like: "That's the good side of being a hoarder, I kept this all these years, and I knew I would need it one day, it was for this moment" :max:. Some people read it as Blake subtly telling Taylor: "I have ALL our conversations babygirl, and I will use them if I have to" :bradley:

But then again, it's 100% speculation, it might be the audience just being terminally online, and reading too much into it :brat:. In any case, it's kind of a weird, odd thing to post considering all the mess she's in rn, but whatever :ladyhaha:

All I know is that this whole thing is a mess. For now, I'm inclined to believe Taylor is being victimized here. But we'll see :thriller:

she allegedly name-dropped her and used her name to wrestle control of the movie away from the director (baldoni) and bully/intimidate him. and judging by the alleged leaked texts, she did so in a way where she called herself "khaleesi" and taylor her "dragon".

Is that really THAT bad? Compared to alleged sexual assault

What did Blake do to Taylor? I thought they were close friends

Last week Bryan Freedman, Justin Baldoni's lawyer, claimed that he directly spoke with a person close to Taylor, and he was informed that Blake Lively demanded Taylor to make a public statement in support of her, otherwise 10 years worth of private messages between the two could become public. According to Freedman, Taylor's lawyer interpreted this as blackmail, and sent Lively's camp a letter, refusing to comply with such demands.

Considering that Freedman held two phone calls with this anonymous source, and he most likely has a recording for both conversations, this seems believable :huntyga:

Now, do I believe Blake Lively literally extorted Taylor like that? no, because I don't think she's stupid, nor do I believe her lawyers would make such a mistake. What I do think happened is: Blake's team probably "suggested" for Taylor to publicly come out in defense of Lively, alleging that if Baldoni's case continues to gain weight, then he could subpoena her, exposing a decade worth of private chats :partysick:

I don't believe Blake straight up told her: "I'm gonna leak it if you don't help me", but it was rather worded as "BALDONI will have access to it, if you don't help me, and he will leak it". Which apparently Taylor still interpreted as blackmail anyways :icant:

Again, all of this is alleged, but it honestly sounds believable. I find it impossible to believe that Taylor would just leave her friend completely alone in a situation like this, if she legitimately thought her friend was victimized.

We'll find out what's the truth eventually :reductive:

considering the fact that Taylor Swift hasn't been allegedly sexual assaulted by anyone in this specific scenario and that she was dragged into this whole mess of a legal he said she said without wanting to, she's probably not very pleased with the situation, especially given how carefully she curates and controls the narrative of her life.

omg this makes soooo much sense. you're so clever. and it 100% fits for taylor to 'interpret that' as blackmail. and also for blake to frame this in a way that is self-serving. you are so, so clever.

That's the issue with Blake's case: she's not alleging sexual assault. She alleged "sexual harrassment", citing a number if situations in which Baldoni "made her feel uncomfortable".

The problem for her is that most of her claims have already been proven false, with evidence.

🩷 She claimed Baldoni made out of character remarks about her scent during romantic scenes, and there's video evidence of the scene, proving Lively was the one making out of character remarks about her body lotion, and Baldoni's comment about her perfume wasn't sexual.

🖤 She claimed production tried to expose her to pörnogræphic material without her consent, the material leaked, and it was a non-explicit photo of a woman in a bathtub with her newborn baby, relevant to the film, as she had a birth scene in the movie.

🩷 She claimed Baldoni would sneak into her trailer while she was breastfeeding, and there's text evidence of her inviting him to her trailer while breastfeeding.

🖤 She claimed Baldoni would sent her audio messages late at night, talking about her breasts, the audio leaked, and the audio was Baldoni's response to a 2AM message that Lively sent him, complaining about her creative imput in the film. The comment about "breasts" was literally Baldoni saying: "Sorry for replying to you right now, you're probably in bed with your family, with a baby hanging on your boob, breastfeeding, lol".

🩷 She claimed Baldoni would extend kiss scenes, and there's video evidence of her biting his lips during such scenes.

That's the full extent of her sexual misconduct allegations, and practically everything was documented, and debunked already. I'm not a lawyer, but it does not look good for Blake so far, considering that the bulk of her claims have already been exposed as malicious misrepresentation of the truth.

And I'm inclined to believe she's got nothing else up her sleeve, otherwise she would've used it already. Of course one could argue: "But the entire cast of the film stood with her when she came out with her New York Times article", which is true, but frankly, if a female co-worker was to tell you she was sexually harrased... wouldn't you believe her? :oprah:

It is farfetched to believe these people asked for evidence, they just took her word for it, because generally, that's the right thing to do. I doubt any of them would do the same, with all the available evidence we have now.

@OliviaRodrigoStanthat's a good summary but you did forget a few elements, like the part of her citing a conversation in a car where he mentioned having sexual encounters that weren't fully consensual in the past which made her uncomfortable. In all fairness, text messages and voice notes can also be doctored so even though they can seem factual, it's hard to guarantee they're 100% factual (or also relevant to the accusations. Maybe she did invite him one time but another time he showed up unannounced).

In terms of whether she has more under her sleeve or not, there's a chance she's also waiting for the trial to start to drop some bombshells. But currently I'm reluctant to believe her story based on the facts we've seen so far.

It is interesting how there is a clear "before SAG strike and after SAG strike" in their text exchange, where it goes from friendly to kind of hostile. I wonder what happened during the strike that made things turn sour.

In terms of what really happened, I think there's a mixture of them having different boundaries, and her also intentionally extrapolating things at times. For example, the "p*rnography" accusation is clear extrapolation. But her feeling uncomfortable if he discusses his past p*rn addiction is fair.
