Romania is back in Eurovision! In normal years I would be very happy, but I’ve 0 desire for this year.

Bulgaria and Moldova are back too! It’s really great that the east European countries are back to balance everything out. However it feels fishy they all return after some countries are planning to leave for good reasons. It feels like a cover up to keep the contest going.

EBU announced some new (old) rules:

• The Professional juries return to Semi-Finals expanded from 5 to 7, creating a roughly 50/50 split between jury and audience vote, more diverse panels including at least 2 young jurors aged 18–25.

• the maximum number of votes per payment method (online, SMS and phone call) will be reduced from 20 to 10.

• The new rules "discourage disproportionate promotion campaigns… particularly when undertaken or supported by third parties, including governments or governmental agencies". Any attempts to unduly influence the results will lead to sanctions

Glad they are listening and feeling the heat, but Israel still needs to be gone. Xo

Adding the jury back to the semis will also stop the insane difference in points by juries and televote in the final and will likely stop pushing jury wins as much as it did recently.

They also apparently mentioned that they will discuss if these rules are enough so it makes me think more countries than expected are against Israel being part of the contest?

Nah, Spain and NL is pressure enough. They are both in the top 6 of funding the contest. And Ireland also being an important country in the history of the contest helps ofc.

this whole Israel scandal is the best visibility for the Eurovision in years, if they remove Israel, people will boycott and not watch.

The majority wants Israel and that's a fact, Israel got a lot of votes twice in a row, you can create a narrative in your brain that's all a fraud and all that.. but it's just a conspiracy and nothing more. the gays who wants Israel out are basically just 10% of the voters in the competition.. even if it's a culturally a gay-oriented competition.. we're just a little drop of ratings and votes.

And it had been proved twice that the anti Israel campaign only brings more votes for Israel lol

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
