Beyoncé's music has actually been charting better across Renaissance and Cowboy Carter than it has during the entire 2010s, so I'm really entertained by what data you're using to ground your facts. Both albums had a #1 and #6 song. Her highest charting songs on past albums: #16 (4), #2 and #13 (self-titled), #10 (Lemonade). 

Ariana has had two #1 hits with this album, Lorde was never really a chart darling and Lana Del Rey literally could not care less about charts. Miley had one of the biggest hits of her entire career just 2 years ago with Flowers and will likely see more since she's still quite young.  So... yeah. Whatever I guess, we can all just spew random "facts" for shock value these days.

The song hits a certain vibe and audience. It was actually playing in the arena several times earlier i was in, during an event for people in the autism spectrum. At first i was like, wow, the song this fresh got used already here...and i was ready to hate it.. But i didnt, it was just fun and not deep. It's really for kids or young at heart, and it suited our event earlier.
