AVeryGagaHolyDick 24,233
Joanne BY FAR Chromatica will win just because it’s a dance album, but even any of her jazz album is just a million times better than Chromatica. 1 3

Both jazz albums and Harlequin eat Chromatica up tbh. Truly the bottom of the barrel for her discography No idea why she decided to swerve to uninspired dance pop after delivering the flawless run of Cheek to Cheek, Joanne, and ASIB 🧡The blindfold's off my eyes, all I see for me is better days🧡

Ladle Ghoulash 20,522
I’d probably say Chromatica, but both have their flaws. IMO, Joanne’s sound engineering is fairly lifeless/overly compressed, whereas Chromatica’s production is clean and well done, but lacking flavor. Both feature soulful performances and great songwriting, but I would honestly like to see both retooled a bit. Tbh I feel like ARTPOP, Joanne, and Chromatica as studio albums all pale so significantly in comparison to their live performances and I think that’s part of the reason why I don’t go back to them as much. ReplayBoss 247
Chromatica. That album is surprisingly more personal than Joanne if you look into the lyrics The scars on my mind are on replay, r-replay
Gagaplayer315 13,878
The Chromatica era had the music, visuals, music videos and a great tour. Dead aunt album will always be her worst
Luzaleja 1,728
I like Chromatica but I loooove Joanne. Some of my favorite songs are in it That album got me through a lot of sh*t so it’ll always have a special place in my heart (and playlist)
hamartia 988
There are more individual songs on Chromatica that I like than there are on Joanne, but as a complete package Joanne is the superior album imo as you can feel the love she put into it. Chromatica has a few bops but the overall listening experience from start to finish still doesn't speak to me. This will probably fall on (tone) deaf ears, but if you haven't listened to Joanne recently, or as an adult, I highly recommend going back to it. I guarantee you that it's not 'as bad' as you remember it being. I do think some of the production choices sound dated as hell, but it sounds much more charming to me now and less inauthentic than it did in 2016. She wanted to feel her Beck oats and that's what she did lol
