AVeryGagaHolyDick 24,596
The music video is SOOOOOO underrated. I know we were used to GrandGa at the time but the video is visually striking, unique and it fits the song perfectly. And her look. Her makeup. Her wig. And Clarence on the stairs. Early MAYHEM vibes real strong. Edited May 9 by AVeryGagaHolyDick 7 1
AVeryGagaHolyDick 24,596
“I went on set to shoot this video with the amazing Clarence Clemons. He is by far one of the most influential people since my childhood. His saxophone on all of Bruce Springsteen's music was the soundtrack to many nights with my mom and dad. Shooting this video together was a turning point for me and my life and my career. And in this video I'm dancing on the fire escape of my apartment. Now that fire escape looks exactly like the one that I used to dance on all the time when living in New York City. We let one window red and one window blue. So, those windows: the blue represents the beginning and the red represents the end. And I am there dancing in between, somewhere in between life and death, somewhere in between heaven and hell in the Purgatory of life... on the edge... with you... [smiles].” 2 1
iamdna 138
So much has changed, but this song is still amazing.
Keeo 416
This makes me so nostalgic and a bit teary-eyed. BTW era was such an important time in my life and I followed her every move. It's such a great feeling to relive some of those feelings with Mayhem.
Creyk 17,771
People often wonder why is this song so forgotten. The unmemorable music video is one of those reasons. The other is the length, and the placement on the tracklist of BTW.

It may not stream as highly as the others but it's absolutely one of her staple songs I just wish that full ending would be performed live some day 💔thought we'd last a lifetime when I'm mumbling alone💔

BigDreamer 72
TEOG is one of my all-time favs, and there's something extra special about the song when she's stripped back with only the piano. It's absolutely beautiful!
