Ok so I think everyone has a right to defend their birthplace especially in troubling times such as these when misinformation could be running rampant and you feel a responsebility to clear it however, you guys are not exactly pointing to the fact that modi's hate rhetoric played a major factor in festering those terrorist factions in Pakistan in the first place and it comes as a natural conclusion that the Pakistani government would harbor militias, now I'm not saying that's ok but again that's not exactly unheard of in any region with conflicts.

You guys disowning the current governing party does not erase the damage done by them, they still played a factor in this escalation, pointing ONLY to the fact that Pakistani government was controlling/helping/hiding the militias without mentioning India's actions over the years IS a cop out.

Now, I understand this is a very complex conflict dating back decades or more, and I get your frustrations but you guys seem to consume a lot of mainstream Indian media atm and I understand that everyone must be on edge and it's hard to stay impartial when you're very existence could be on the line, i really do get that but just make sure to blame all who are responsible, please, this didn't start because of just one thing, there's definitely a way to showcase your love to your country while holding it accountable. I wish all who are affected peace, I don't how and if this conflict could be resolved but you never know.

This is not my battle to fight I just thought you guys were getting too personal with OP without presenting a full argument and that didn't feel alright. Those were my two cents, probably won't respond to any ongoing discussion, again not my fight.

Indians here do not want to get personal on OP. We wish they are safe at the midst of this conflict. We in fact do not want any war and we are only countering the false claims said by the OP with facts, while simultaneously praying for their safety.

It's unfortunate that a neighbouring country of India, whom we used to share history till 1947, openly provides a safe haven for terrorist organisations like JeM, LeT, TRF who aims to destroy the religious integrity of India. Things could've been better for everyone if our neighbouring country did not harbour indoctrinated terrorists with dangerous ideologies in their soil to attack India cut by cut (which their army brags about every time).

Moreover, Pakistani Army has also attacked Indian cities with missiles (all of them were thwarted by India), and there are casualties due to Pakistani shelling in Poonch, India.

Indian government and media do have flaws just like every other nation but when it comes to our country's security and sovereignty, we are united regardless of religion, ethnicity, or political affiliation.

GGD members don't make the effort to read the whole story. And because OP has (rightfully) expressed his own concern for his safety, he is intentionally trying not mention the murders Pakistan has been doing in India over the past few days. As much as I want people from both countries to be safe, this victim card holding needs to stop. If Pakistanis had no problem with seeing their political leaders attending funerals of publicly known terrorists, then blaming India for everything won't bring any solution.

Everyone on GGD sympathizes with OP's safety concerns. What I have a problem with is that he is ONLY concerned for the safety of the innocent citizens of his own country and not for the innocent civilians of India that Pakistan has been killing over the last few days, and he is even denying those crimes. Everyone deserves safety, regardless of what country they belong to.

True. Modi's politics of hate plays a major role in all of this. And India has its own very problematic history of handling its land, neighbors and borders. Things could have been very different, but for that we might have to rewrite the history of 80 years atp.

Literally all political parties (both national as well as regional parties) in India have a lot of flaws like corruption and divisive tactics within them, not just Modi's BJP. This is one of the reasons we are still a lower middle income country. We will have to sort it out ourselves by questioning our politicians on their approach.

Pakistan is no different from this, in fact apart from their government, their army also often resort to hate speech on Hindus and Indians (e.g., speech by Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir a few days before the Pahalgam terrorist attack). Their actions have affected India's security and religious integrity deeply.

We are extending our prayers for the OP for their safety and all other innocent people who are caught in this.

Just letting you know, Pakistan’s homegrown terrorists have carried out brutal attacks even before Modi came to power in 2014.
Are you going to blame the ethnic cleansing of the Kashmiri Hindus and Sikhs that happened in 90s carried out by beloved Pakistani terrorists on Modi?

Are you going to blame the attack on the Indian parliament in 2001 on Modi?

Are you going to blame the attack on innocent pilgrims at the Akshardham temple in 2002 on Modi?

Are you going to blame 26/11 Mumbai attack, that happened in 2008, that left 175 Indian and international citizens dead, also on Modi?

These are some handful instances and I haven’t mentioned countless other attacks that took place before Modi came into power in 2014 :). These are facts and not some lies peddled by “mainstream Indian” media as you have very conveniently mentioned above.

That's very rich coming from a Brit after your people drawing an artificial line between us :neyde:

All of us are praying for OP's safety, no one here wants war. Criticising Pakistani army is not sectarianism or indulging in waging war. We Indians know what we've been through more than a random person from Europe.

Looks like sitting in the ivory tower and pointing out the glee of sectarianism during a war between two counties where numerous people are dying is the new form of entertainment for some people.

Funny how none of you are admitting to the violence against Indian Muslims & Sikhs by Indian Hindus when passing judgement on who's responsible for this latest outbreak of direct hostilities.

Like I have seen you and others sit here and list everything Pakistan haa done, some proven some unproven, to justify the war crime of attacking a medical facility.

But in your chronological history of why Pakistan is bad, you somehow skip over the 2020 Dehli riots or the state sponsored 2002 Gujurat riots.

Briefly you may say I dislike Modi, but then in the next breath state that every bit of violence is the fault of Pakistan. And just gloss over the fascisim of Hindutva statesmen like Modi.

And I readily admit the failings of the British state in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. And in the very first thread on this site I got told off by people you're joining up with now for daring to point out that the root of this violence is British Colonialism and not whatever us/them narrative they've bought into based on whether they are governed by Pakistan's leaders or India's leaders. Yet now you try to use it against me 😂

But fine. I fully buy into the argument you are making that because Pakistani directly supports and protects terrorists that threaten Indian citizens then the war crimes that happened are a-okay.

And on that basis, I am sure you will join me in supporting Canada's military response to the Indian government's sponsorship of the terrorist assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil. And of course, supporting China taking action against India's support of Tibetan exiles anti-China activities.

Another propaganda post. It’ll take some time to reply.

First of all Pakistan is an ethnostate where the numbers of their minorities have dwindled considerably since independence. India is a secular democracy with lots of diversity. Eventhough the current government does pander to its majority, the ethos of equality remain enshrined with in our constitution and our justice system.
With diversity comes differences in opinions and differences become violent at times. Clashes happen where both parties lose their people.

And whatever clashes happen, are happening within India’s borders. What kind narrative are you trying to run here? That if Indians have conflicts within themselves, a violent neighbouring state gets a free pass to attack the citizens? Quite an intellectually bankrupt argument to be honest. I have clearly pointed out cross border attacks on India and you have mentioned conflicts within India lol. If you really want to post your biased takes, under the façade of being an intellectual, at least do it properly.

And again you bring up another terrorist. Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a designated terrorist, was on the no fly list of CANADA and his accounts were frozen by the CANADIAN government for his terror links. And the former Prime minster of Canada accused India, but no proofs provided when the Indian government was willing to join the investigation.
As for the Pakistan sponsored terrorism, the proofs are often provided by their own organisations when they gloat about their actions online, which was TRF an offshoot Lashkar-e-Taiba in the Pahalgam attack.

And come on man, how low will you go? Tibetans? Seriously? They are already living in exile and max they can do is street protest, but ofcourse you want to drag them here to make your argument lol.

And just saying none of us here are pro war. We all know innocent lives are lost because of such conflicts. It’s not just Pakistan cities, but Indian cities are also under attack. Our families living on the borders know what they are facing and we pray for their well-being and safety.

But if y’all keep peddling one sided narrative, we are not going sit silently

You can criticize and correct the OP post, but you dont need to unfairly reach the conclusion that they are terrorist sympathizer and supporter.

Everyone here knows @InTheCloset well, we know they do not support or sympathize with terrorism

None of us called him a terrorist sympathiser.
The OP straight up denied the terrorist attack in India in the initial thread.
And we called him out on that.
