julz 7,149
Hey! I've been imagining the music videos of possible singles, and I've been referencing past music videos from diff artists: - Perfect Celebrity - i can imagine an aesthetic like "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence - Vanish Into You - in a way, i feel the "Never Really Over" vibes by Katy on this one - HBDUWM - the pacing of scenes and aesthetic in "Look What You Made Me Do" by TS What do u guys think? What are your thoughts on this?
SimonBaetens 8,690
For Vanish Into You I see a one-shot video in a big scenography depicting apartments and other buildings in New York City, think Synecdoche New York meets Björk's Bachelorette video. when you're lonely, I'll be lonely too / https://www.last.fm/user/SimonBaetens 1
TimotheeChalamet 5,688
I'm envisioning these very differently - Perfect Celebrity: something like Nine Inch Nails' Closer mixed with the operation interlude at the Chromatica Ball and Aura at Enigma, with her laying on a table and being experimented on/photographed continuously. She is in a basement-like setting filled with old tvs displaying closeups of eyes and facial features and neutral mannequins. During the last chorus she smashes everything around her, flips off the camera and runs away. Another setting intertwining with the basement could be a mansion's bedroom where she is chained to the bed or a burnt Hollywood sign. - Vanish Into You: shot on a secluded, suggestive hill during a cloudy day, overlooking stormy sea. There is an old crooked house on top of the hill. The video would be shot both inside and outside. Inside, she lays on the floor and recalls past memories, collecting broken picture frames and playing an old piano. There is a mysterious figure of a man appearing and disappearing like a ghost and she reunites with him at the end. The final shot would be a vintage picture of Gaga and her lover, previously ripped and torn but now stitched back together. - How Bad Do U Want Me: a darker version of Eh, Eh with guys and girls in New York wearing 80s clothing, very bland but well shot. Another version of Gaga as the "bad girl" would appear in some shots. Edited May 5 by TimotheeChalamet
HeAteMyh3art 1,092
I always imagined PC having a scene where gaga is in a cocoon and the entire video just being kinda disturbing, Killah is just a big ol mess without a storyline with the entire aesthetic being grungy and yellow, SOAM in a gotham-esque city with a whole bunch of fog, CSTH would be gaga graphically splitting herself into a bunch of clones but theyd come out of random places part by part and instead of blood itd be a sort of light blue light its very vivid and hard to explain, Zombieboy is not an irl video its gotta be handdrawn and super colorful enigma pop star is fun
warhol killah 8,674
I can really see the Vanish Into You mv having a similar style of video with The Edge of Glory mv - simple, one setting, just her. I think it's about time to give out another classic video with just her again. warhol killer ✴ GAGA¹⁵ 2
zevthepaparazzo 613
not me taking this as my de facto directory debut I envision Garden of Eden as an abandoned church, with green/gold lighting, overgrown with tropical plants, turned into a fierce nightclub. At the start, Gaga is lost in the jungle with nothing but a machete and a boombox. She is dressed in a floral white dress, torn by the plants. Gaga finds a doorway, alone, nothing behind it, and enters. The intro plays. Suddenly, she is transported to the church/club, standing standoffishly in the raving crowd like a turtle in a maternity ward. First chorus, and the Mistress walks in on the party, and cuntily struts around, and then vanishes with a flip of her cape into a snake, which slithers towards gaga and transforms into a sexy man who tempts her with a sexy apple, but she does something and reveals its actually Mayhem in disguise. Dance sequence for Next verse and chorus. For the bridge, Gaga steals Mayhem's cane and tries to beat her to death, until. The Final chorus is Gaga, nude except for a leaf bra and panty, desperately trying to escape the party. During the ending sequence, Gaga finally turns to the door, which is now emanating a neon pink light, and she walks towards it, Chromatica I playing. Perfect celebrity starts with Gaga tied to a pole on a lonely island in an angry sea, a la jw jesus, singing the first verse. During the chorus, her dancers emerge from the water, and tear her apart. The scene cuts to a hellish mansion, dead supermodels hanging from chandeliers. Shes desperately looking for an escape, going door to door accidentally walking into her old music videos. During the second prechorus, she walks into a bedroom, dollar bills with Gaga's face strung around. She walks outside to a balcony, and a crowd of paparazzi behind her shove her down. Clips of the Paparazzi music video (the falling down scene) appear, as if it were a flashback. During the second chorus, she is enraged and holds a cane, smashing analog tvs with news reports on her body and hermaphrodite status and controversialness. During the bridge the mistress is alone on a bed, looking out to a burnt down LA. For the final chorus, there is only Gaga in a blank red room, dancing chaotically as if there were two people dancing battling in her head, like that one scene from jekyll and hyde. The instrumental outro is Gaga aggressively crawling to the camera Von Dutch style, cutting to a teary mistress on the bed singing "Ive become a notorious being", a la the rosary scene in Alejandro. I see Vanish into you set in Mayhem's secret dungeon, beneath the space where Abracadabra took place. The lighting's purple. Gaga sings the first verse to an unknown photograph in her cell, and mayhem sings the prechorus looking into the bars. They harmonise the chorus, and the steel bars melt away. They start to partner dance together during the verse, and the scene is interwoven with mayhem singing to a broken pocket mirror. The second chorus is them singing to each other, the camera spinning around them. In the instrumental, mayhem falls from her dance, and Gaga helps her up, then they embrace during the bridge. The last chorus is Mayhem and Gaga dancing togetherIt ends with mayhem finally vanishing into gaga, and she walks away, a Free Woman. The whole prison scene also randomly cuts to flashbacks from her other music videos. Killah is set in a 50s/60s/70s/idgaf/retro-esque bar, Woman’s World faintly plays in the background. The song finally ends, and someone walks up to the jukebox and plays the much better song. Gaga stands in the corner, smoking some grass. Some bad boys in black leather jackets pass her by and check her out. One of them laughs at something, and another smacks her ass like a drum. Gaga pretends to enjoy it, but you can tell by her face she is disgusted by them. She walks up to the bar and orders a bloody mary from the bartender (played by Gesaffelstein, of course). The chorus comes on and she does a very aggressive disco dance, walking towards the camera. The other folk are just looking at her like “tf this bitch doin”. She sits down at a table and lights up her ***, and a guy approaches her. She gives one side eye to him and he falls down to the ground, dead. The people of the bar are shook, and try to run away from the demon woman, but the doors magically lock in place. Gaga looks at the camera like and commences her second chorus dance, this time with all the patrons acting as marionettes/backup dancers. Some act as a band, with people playing air drums and air guitar. The bridge comes, and Gaga looks to the ceiling in delight. She ravages the place, throwing down tables, taking out the lights, smashing windows. Gesa huddles in a corner during the cacophony. The notorious YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH comes, and blood rains from the fire sprinklers. Gaga then walks out with a gang of followers, she walks with her arms outstretched. She faces and points at the camera for her “iM a…. kiLLaH!”, not unlike that poster of uncle sam. The gang walks off without her, and she poses. “KILLAHHH!!” This might be a bit boring but I see Zombieboy shot as a silent film, with a purple filter. Gaga and her dancers are dancing in a German Expressionist graveyard, with lyrics in an old Hollywood font at the bottom of the screen. At some point skeletons emerge from the graves and dance along. Its basically the standard performance just on tape. I see Lovedrug in a medieval academy, with Gaga lamenting the first verse in a throne. Her dancers are students who study alchemy. She stands up during the pre chorus, and walks down regally to where her students are experimenting. They do a dance for the chorus. The second verse is Gaga standing on a castle balcony at night, crying out to her lover. After the pre chorus, Gaga goes into her chamber room, and two servants set up a disco ball and lighting system. She then parties out the chorus in her room and gets absolutely wasted like the queen she is. She ends up passing out on the floor during the loveDRUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAG bit, and her servants check on her. Seeing that her breathings getting worse, they call in a modern looking doctor. Slowly more and more modern paramedics come into the scene, and she flatlines in a white hospital, after which a certain mistress cuntily struts into the room with black roses I Imagine How Bad Do U Want Me being this generic ahh pop video of her singing to the camera uncomfortably close in a light blue room, with footage of her grooving and posing strung about every few seconds. Halfway through the boredom just after the first chorus), a director yells “Cut!” and the camera pulls back to reveal the studio. Gaga is pissed off, and storms out of the door. A massive crowd of 2.6 million paparazzi and reporters await her outside, and she pushes through them like that scene in JFAD. She gets into a cab and drives to her house. She sits alone on her bed with a mannequin in place of a boyfriend and resumes singing the second verse to it. She caresses it and humps it too. Just before the second chorus, she gets out of bed and goes to the window. She then sings her heart out into the window, where a crowd of fans await her outside (like in that one song Dont Cry For Me Chromatica or whatever its called). They sing along and everythings happy. The end! Don’t call tonight could be Gaga driving in a car. She turns up the radio and the intro starts playing. She starts singing the first verse on the phone to someone. She exits the car for the pre chorus at a lonely highway at night, and aggressively walks towards the camera, her dancers emerging from the undergrowth. They perform a dance routine for the chorus. It cuts to her tied up and blindfolded at someone’s doorstep for the second verse. For the second pre chorus, Gaga is thrown onto the floor by an unknown person, but during “They’re your eyes they’re your eyes” Gaga stands up, and a video of a lady in red slowly tilting her face forward is cut in on every 16th beat. The camera cuts to a small chamber, the wallpaper being a painted night sky. Gaga and her dancers perform a ballet inspired dance. The bridge is gaga laying on a table, guests sitting and awaiting food, with a deadpan expression singing the bridge (like beautiful dirty rich). During the whole video a still of Gaga laying dead (with her eyes open) on dirt gets cut in. Idk why but I can see shadow of a man set in this gothic cathedral x discotheque with mist and blue lighting (like a mix between Notre dame and the cover of Voulez-Vous by Abba) and there's a moonlit window which she dances in the shadow of, and theres like really intense choreo that culminates in her collapsing at the bridge but then she stands up and goes "cuz I won't be used for my love and left out to CRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" and the whole thing is interwoven with scenes of her crashing out a la marry the night. The choreo also cuts to silhouettes of Gaga and her dancers, like the video for Vroom vroom. The Beast is shot on film and has a grainy texture. It starts with a closeup of mayhem singing “TURN ON THE MUSIC”, then it cuts to black. It's a spotlight on Gaga, dressed in a white robe (like a mix between a monk and a sleeping victorian), for the first verse, with nothing else. The camera occasionally fades into different angles. She sometimes holds a candle, as if she were walking around her house at 11:59 in 1789. The chorus is gaga, still in the dark except for her, playing a white grand piano. The scene cuts to gaga, dressed in black, laying on grass in a clearing in a dark forest, occasionally stirring and gesturing. She rises to sing the pre chorus, and picks up a very large hat and cane, and sings the chorus as mayhem, dancing around her forest. The bridge is shot like the first verse, gaga alone with a spotlight, passionately shredding her air guitar. During the bridge, it cuts to gaga alone in an abandoned public bathroom, presumably still in the forest. The mirror is cracked, and mayhem is her reflection, singing “you can’t hide who you are 11:59” to her as if it was a taunt. The last chorus is Gaga dancing alone in a bland grey room. There are lots of fades and fades to black in this one. To me, a music video for Blade of Grass would be more like TEOG, Million reasons, or Joanne. Just her, her piano, maybe a few shots of her lying on a lawn. There could also be some live video of her debuting it in mexico. I can also see these shots intercut with a scene of a black room, with gaga in white, artistically dancing around. Edited May 6 by zevthepaparazzo I have MORE DON'T... FORGET! Dayman 6,179
Garden of Eden x Vanish into You double music video. Shot in a way that evokes the way David Lynch would film
Panchecco 17,634
these are the music videos I envision in my mind when I listen these specific songs: Perfect Celebrity (my favorite): an empty room with just a bed. A sleeping Gaga slowly wakes up as she starts to sing the song. The camera angle switches a few time as we see a shadow lurking over the bed but we can't quite figure out what it is. The first chorus starts and with a scary jumpscare Gaga is dragged into another scene by her clone. The clone is seen performing in a black space that sometimes looks like a stage with led runway (very similar to I Want Your Love video), other times an empty black room or just a black void. Her look changes a few times getting weirder and more abstract and scarier with each change. Throughout the video the clone is seen in different scenes: a press conference (just like the Spotify event, performing on the led runway and getting swormed by people who are tearing her apart. Gaga is seen witnessing the clone in some scenes and other times she appears in front of a wall where she is lit by a projector that is showing images of some of the artist that inspired her (bowie's lighnting, grace jones etc.) and past looks of her distorting her image (like the 2011 VMA promo). During the outro the camera rotates 90 degrees right as we see Gaga walking towards it. The camera repositions and rotates again and again as the scene switches every time between it being Gaga, the clone or Stef. It's edited to the fast beat of the outro and in all that chaos we see the clone being completely swarmed by a crowd, Gaga surrounded by flashes, the crowd hitting the clone with tomatoes and water, photographes being split in half, Gaga again walking the runway and Stefani alone surrouned by darkness. Stef says "I've become a notorious being" and the video ends as a tear falls on her face and a light flashes all white. inspiration: Billie's WWAFAWDWG album cover, Eggers Nosferatu, Jordan Peel's US, Britney's Hold It Against Me, the Chromatica Ball intro Killah: 70s/80s motel setting, video opens with Gaga inside a car smoking with sunglasses and a big ass coat (similar to the Fat Juicy And Wet look). Music starts and we get a dance break outside the motel and edited in are also scenes with a complete black background clearly shot in a set. During the video there is a storyline following Gaga during a night out and a man that seems to be following her everywhere making her uncomfortable. The video is very calm at first but gets chaotict as we move along. We get to the end of the last chorous and we cut to Gaga smoking drenched in blood in a chair. The crazy outro starts and we see gaga comically cutting up the man off camera, we only see her on the floor looking towards the camera with a chainsaw and other crazy tools she's using to dismember the body and we don't see it, just the blood spilling everywhere and her picking up the parts. Edited very chaotically and with a very purpuseful comedic vibe. The song ends and we cut to gaga in the car driving away so fast that one leg falls off her trunk. Piecing together all the elements thanks to the editing throught the video we discovered that it was an fbi agent or detective that was spying on her because she had already murder another guy that was already in the trunk this whole time. She put the fbi agent body in the trunk as well and drove off.
