now someone who would make people rent SHIPS to watch her from the ocean and would easily get 5 MILLION folks ROLLING on sand... miss Céline Dion, bye.

Exactly, there would be rich middle aged people having wine parties on yachts for her

Beyoncé feels like the natural successor but we’ll see. Madonna and Gaga is as big as it gets (esp. regarding their dominance over Brazil) so it’ll be tough to name the next act. Elton would be amazing but I think he retired from touring (but not live concerts, maybe?)

Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?

Yes.. It's gonna be their Super Bowl half time show kind of thing. This is for tourism efforts mainly, which is cool

Anyone but a female singer. We don't want Gaga's record to be broken :enigma:

I don't think this should or even could be an annual thing.. You need a certain type of artist for an event of this magnitude. Madonna definitely makes sense as the trailblazer to come out with 1.5M or how many there were and Gaga makes perfect sense to go next. But then there's only Bey left in the holy trinity of the music industry. These three ladies are true performers, able to handle an audience this big.

I don't know if people would show up for the unholy trinity of walking, standing and arching your back :huntyga:

Beyonce, The Weeknd, Miley (but wouldn’t draw a huge crowd), Rihanna’s comeback

Madonna and Gaga are both institutions at this point who could tour till they drop and still attract recording breaking crowds so who else is on that level? Beyonce and Taylor Swift are the obvious answers.

I don't think there's anybody who can TBH :huntyga:. Maybe Rihanna or Taylor Swift.

I don't think Beyoncé has as many global hits to actually attract that many tourists. GaGa didn't just have brazilian fans attending, there was a huge amount of tourists from Argentina and other parts of Latin America who travelled just to see her (over half a million tourists, according yesterday's reports).

Beyoncé might have a large following in Brasil, but I don't think she's got as much pull for tourists, on the region. Rihanna on the other hand had so many radio hits + she's on hiatus, so I think a big comeback in Rio would attract a lot of tourists.

And Taylor is Taylor, she'd bring a gigantic crowd if she played for free. So, to me, the only two who could ~surpass~ GaGa's number would be either Rihanna or Taylor.

Beyoncé could draw a big crowd, but I don't think it'd be bigger than GaGa's. Just my opinion though, I could be wrong, Beyoncé is not that big in my country, so I might have a distorted idea of how big or not she is in Brasil :partysick:

Björk or Lorde. This country needs some taste in artistry that only these artists can provide. :enigma:

Judas is coming, let the cultural baptism begin.
