The last time Gaga came to Vancouver was Joanne, in the arena, and I just stan her in an arena. It’s the right atmosphere for a Gaga show. Heck, let’s go back to a theatre tour.

i'm just commenting on the topic😭 really looks like 2.5M people imo :iamfair:

Don't drag me into the stadium vs arenas convo 😭 i'd be happy if she did anything in Lisbon, i'm not picky 😭

Yeah I'm sorry I misread

It's been said and said again but honestly free show and all it's so impressive that she after the downfall of 2013 and close to 2 decades into her career can still get this many people to lose their ****, I feel validated in a way that I'm staning an a true living legend, you're username is definitely true :traumatica:

I was literally not gonna attend this tour if it was a stadium tour :lmao: especially not here in Florida where it storms every single day and anyone reserving a venue here should be aware of that :grr:

Look at our forecast!

It'll be like this for months, well into Halloween season and autumn :grr:

Miss me with that roofless nonsense where I'm charged $500 to squint at Gaga before a third of the show is called off from due to a completely predictable event :grr:

Well don't you think you should just relocate :trollga:

No but really you guys have a closed roof football stadium right? If there's a date there would that get you to go?

Stadium concerts suck ass tbh. They're not worth the money.

Arenas are far, FAR superior.

Arenas are far superior if there are enough dates to meet the demand. IMO, that’s the biggest issue this tour has so far.

We have forgotten our public MANNERS

I'm trying so hard to :bradley: California is calling my name and I will answer her one day soon :bradley:

I actually quite like Florida's severe weather though. One of my formative memories was watching a funnel cloud spawn and descend right above my house and feeling nothing but pure fascination and awe :flutter:

The hurricanes? Love 'em :flutter:

But yes! There was a stadium so close to the Miami venue they picked that had a roof and iirc it was available that night :air: I have to wonder who's in charge of booking venues 'cause...ma'am :air:

The smaller football stadiums aren't that bad as long as you can get relatively close/lower. Like, aside from the rooflessness I didn't actually mind the Miami venue too much.

But the baseball stadiums in DC and LA? Definitely didn't feel like I got my money's worth :yennefer:

Well...as a fan I only have to be concerned with the show(s) I'm attending :chica: and I'm so happy to be seeing her in an arena :bradley:

Well, again, Gaga knows her limits and is perfectly capable of taking care of herself. She picked arenas 'cause arena concerts are objectively better quality. So getting the tour over with quickly isn't really a concern tbh.

Her eras start when she wants them to :gayhat: tours are literally irrelevant to when she puts out her next album honestly.

She could drop new stuff mid-tour like she did with the artRAVE (and TMB I think? I don't remember the dates for that tour oops) or she could go years before releasing after a tour wraps up.

We know a new album isn't coming any time soon, though, so it's not like it's better for the tour to end quicker so she can put out a new album. 4-5 years between albums is clearly the new normal for her. But she's so into movies now and maybe she'll want to do theatre. The more time she has, the more she can devote to other things. There's a reason why artists who are constantly on tour never really do anything else as they don't have the time to be booked anywhere. Gaga would never release a new album mid-tour either. Her tours are named after the respective album for a reason.

But it's not like I'm ultimately complaining. I love an arena show. So much more comfortable, no weather concerns, feels more intimate to the artist and easier access to public transport. I just feel for all the fans who missed out as there was too much demand and not enough follow-up shows added. That's why I'm hoping she'll continue with more legs next year as she's nowhere near done in the US and Europe as it is never mind anywhere else.

This image from gaga's show :nooo:

That image made me feel all dizzy and like I was going to fall flat on my face! Could you imagine if she did a throwback to old times and crowd surfed in that? She'd end up on the other side of Rio!

Okay then say you have a problem with baseball stadiums:grr:.. jk, that I get honestly if people who are responsible for booking venues actually know what they're doing and take into consideration the best way to accommodate the attendees rather than focus on the capacity and how to advertise tours (like I said an arena is once in a lifetime opportunity to what the show in a somewhat intimate setting, while a stadium is once in a lifetime history making event) the whole experience would much much better like was it not always like that before this trend of mega tours? Genuinely asking, either way I think there's a way to make live music special either way honestly.
