Totally agree with this. My issue with the Katy hate is not that I don't think she deserves criticism for her actions, it's that the hate train is intense to the point that there are viral social media posts saying pretty vile things about her daughter and the hate seems uniquely focused upon her when I could rattle off plenty of names in the music industry who have done the same or far worse than Katy Perry.

The most worrying part about bullying Katy on here is that it’s being defended by some of the most veteran GGD users.

I was so close to her  I couldn’t believe my eyes/ears I was sad I couldn’t attend her show but this was so unexpected and a gift being on this concert even more when this weekend had so many pop divas in Mexico imagine having Gaga Katy and Demi performing and Britney and Xtina visiting

Y'all reminding me of the public attending a MMA event or, more precisely, back in the day when people came up to the town square because someone was getting executed through guillotine. That person committed a crime, but those vividly and excitingly watching were having fun from the pain and suffering of other individuals. Take that specific moment in history and bring it to the internet era. 

People deffending the "end Katy" **** are just attending an atrocious spectacle because they like to be distracted with other people's pain as they prefer not to fix themselves and do things for good

Is Katy good? Probably not. Did she do awful things? Hell yes. Is her artistry lame af to my personal taste? Yep. Do I care enough to say she deserves all of this (implying undirectly she deserves the hate comments on her daughter)? Gladly, no. I don't.
