The anxiety is overwhelming I hate stadium shows with a passion, partially because of giant crowds like this. Glad I'm getting to see Mayhem Ball in an arena. While Rio will of course be her biggest audience, it would be a given considering it's a free event. The entire world could come if they wanted to. But when people hand over their hard-earned money to be there, especially in a country with a huge divide between rich and poor, that has far more weight. If people only come to see you when you're performing for free, it's not a good way of measuring how much they think your performance ability is worth. Madonna did a free show in Rio with her tour but while it was included as a tour date, its attendance wasn't added to her overall tour attendance because a free show would obviously unfairly inflate the numbers. Free concerts aren't included in records of the most attended shows of all time for this reason, only paid for events are considered. They might have their own section but not competing against ticketed concerts.
