crazygato 496
What’s urs? Keep in mind charts and impact. Here’s mine: 1. Born This Way (February 2011)#1 2. Marry The Night (May 2011)#1 Promo Singles: You And I + Hair * 3. The Edge of Glory (August 2011)#3 4. Judas (December 2011)#12** 5. Hair (March 2012) #8*** 6. Heavy Metal Lover ft. Ke$ha (May 2012) #15 * “You And I” actually peaks at #3 on the BBH100 with “Hair” reaching #8 as promo singles. “You And I” actually becomes a radio single in some parts of the US and Canada. But it’s not a worldwide release and never gets a MV. ** fan favorite “Judas” peaks at #12 on the BBH100 during the release of the album due to heavy downloads. It becomes a popular track and eventually the 4th single after TEOG. *** “Hair” becomes the official 5th single, although it was previously a promotional single and had already peaked at #8. The US version is serviced as a piano ballad to radios. Europe and the rest of the world get a more dance oriented / EDM version of the song. It also helps promote the BTWB tour. I was a little bored so I hope you like this release strategy. It’s my fantasy era so in my mind the music videos are also different except for BTW and Judas, which are flawless! I also feel the era would have performed better this way and had more longevity. Also, am I the only one who has this weird obsession/ compulsion to imagine the “what could have beens” of Gaga and other artists??? Please LMK you pus- uh- I mean, kitties!!! PartySick 153,427
Hair is not a good enough song to be a proper single and no way it's even cracking the top 40 a year after the album is released Stripping Yoü and I of its single status and video despite how iconic it is feels like a crime it's been a reoccurring staple in her shows where as other singles like Marry the Night basically disappeared after the BTW era it's one of the best songs on the album, it absolutely deserves to be a single! HML with Kesha? Evil The only thing I'd change about the era we got is for her to pull a John Wayne/911 with Scheiße 'cause she clearly always adored that song. It deserves a video! 🧡The blindfold's off my eyes, all I see for me is better days🧡

Didn’t know I’d get this reaction! To clarify, HML would NEVER have reached top 20 if released as a single, never mind a 6th single! So what does her team do? They release a radio remix for it featuring Ke$ha. It’s something labels do for the track to gain more attention/ peak higher, and TBH it’s kinda fun to have some sleazy remix of the song (this was 2012, hello)! I get it, HML is the GOAT, but I personally would have wanted it to peak higher especially since it would have been the 6th and last single. Don’t worry, in my fantasy rollout, Ke$ha would not even have appeared in the MV! Radios would both play the official and remix version of the song.

Haha no worries I get you xx, but HML is just completely untouchable imo. No one would compliment it as a feature it's just pure diamond-cut Gaga. And no offence but early 2000's Kesha was just far too trashy to suit anything on BTW imo, it would be like hanging the Mona Lisa in MacDonalds (how very ARTPOP ). Also I think you'd be surprised. If the label were more daring you just don't know how well HML might have done, especially if it was played in every club possible (especially in Europe, and if it was boosted with a killer sexy video and lots of striking TV performances). It's definitely too avant garde for the general public but people thought that about Bad Romance etc. so who knows. It deserves more credit than that and the chorus is truly infectious. However you're right a dirty heavy club remix of it would've been cool, but I'd definitely pick someone more sophisticated than Kesha of all people if it were to have a feature on it. Also, am I the only one who has this weird obsession/ compulsion to imagine the “what could have beens” of Gaga and other artists??? Please LMK you pus- uh- I mean, kitties!!! Hmmm. See I think the overall rollout for the BTW era was pretty perfect overall, my only issue is that a small group of songs (like fan favourites) never really saw the light of day which is a shame. 1. I'd keep Born This Way as the lead cuz it did extremely well and was immensely culturally impactful and just such an important song. I think the only thing I'd alter is the music video. Gaga even admitted that the video did not turn out the way she wanted so I'd get her to reshoot it until she was happy. 2. And for the sake of the fans I'd keep Judas as second single cuz regardless of the stupid backlash it received at the time, that song is f*cking incredible and deserves it's spot, and time has told that it's iconic af. 3. I'd also keep The Edge Of Glory as third single due to its success. It was a good decision, but I'd 100% have a better music video made for it. (Then for the promotional singles, I think here Gaga could've had space to pay homage to her more avant garde, darker songs. So definitely Scheiße (since it's the ultimate fan favourite), Heavy Metal Lover, and Bloody Mary. Give them all amazing music videos and maybe tie them together into a Lana Del Rey Tropico-like film or something idk would've been rly cool. Get Steven Klein involved cuz everything he touched with Gaga was pure gold ). 4. You And I was also a great choice as a single and pandered very well to the GP. The video is great to. 5. Marry The Night works fine as the final single. I know it didn't do very well on the charts but the era was starting to run it's course by then anyway. But it was a very poetic and cathartic way to end the era, especially with that epic biographical music video. I'm fine, Ta
