VasilisVas 5,130
Why all the Addison hate? Addison is actually probably one of the only new artists whose music I’ve been able to get into. 4
Stephen 30,414
Nah Charli is hysterical for pushing this girl on the gays she seems sweet but completely talentless and also just… not cool? She doesn’t have the X factor. She gives normal audience girl who somehow snuck on stage. 1
Kayi 2,409
I really like Addison, I think her rebrand is genius. I think she's my fave new pop girl and I'm not even joking. I mean yeah she's still that cringy but relatable Tik Tok girl, that crave for attention and screams... But it makes her likeable. I think that if she turned into a full cool girl she wouldn't be this cool cause it wouldn't feel natural. Yep she's gorgeous and sensual, and I feel like it was one of the reason why ppl didn't liked her but now she no longer expresses it in male gaze way... She expresses it a fluid way, she likes fashion and she likes to feel beautiful, but also to feel like herself. So she assumes being a bit cringy and act goofy in her music video. That's why ppl liked Diet Pepsi MV : She also takes inspiration from pop girls she likes (Britney, Lana, Gaga, Madonna, Arca, Charli, etc...) and it feel honest the way she pays them tribute. In Diet Pepsi she channels Lana but Lana would never act the way Addison does it. Her style is appealling but not manufactured, she works with ppl with real understanding of how to dress her without corrupting the vibes. In Aquamarine, she affirmate more this freedom. I mean, ugh, I fell in love with her persona after watching this MV several times. She's talking about becoming adult, feeling free and feeling like you rule the world. It speaks to me because I'm 19 haha... She follows this scheme in High Fashion but it's more cinematic and campy. Speaking of fashion, she started to do more photoshoots after this mv and became blonde. We know how symbolic are blonde hair in the music and cinema industry. I saw many ppl comparing her to Marylin Monroe cause both are very pretty women but but their persona is a bit cringy but endearing. Madison Beer is great but she isn't relatable as Addison. Addison is the girl next-door. I know that if you readed all of this, at this point you might be offended because of the comparison but don't underestimate her PR team... They are very talented to create connexions between her and other icons. I don't think that being a vocalist or a great dancer is necessary to be a good artist, she has a strong persona that arouses either hate, either admiration. Her singing is decent, her voice tone is sweet. Give her a good staging and she will easily give good live performances. End of my TedTalk essay I'm here to take a break from university homeworks :/ 1

You can dislike her music or whatever, but this feels oddly personal.
