Where was Chromatica?

Exactly this. 

It could only make sense imo if she decides to revamp several songs from Chromatica so the sound sounds more like Mayhem, or at least dark. Though Replay and 911 are very much dark songs, it still sounds colorful, idk if that makes sense.

This Coachella was Mayhem with some of her past songs sprinkled in, and more so the hits like Judas and Paparazzi and Alejandro - heck she didn't even perform bad romance or just dance 

what we should take away from this performance is Mayhem Mayhem Mayhem - its clearly designed to put her latest album front and center of attention

but also look at the Chromatica ball  she turned songs into a dark performance of them like Alice sticks out to me

i can see her performing a lot of the songs after Chromatica ngl like Alice, Stupid Love, Rain On Me, 911, Replay, and perhaps Free Woman

remember the chroma tour was NOT what people were expecting for an album that has a colourful theme

Chomatica Ball was definitely a sort of "prelude" to this era and you can see that with the aesthetics and outfits, the blonde bob is nearly the same as the black one she has right now, except with short cut bangs. 

I would have killed for an all color themed Chromatica Ball like the initiate concept she was going for. 

So in a way Chromatica and Mayhem are very similar but sonically I think it doesn't match up as well. But nothing can stop her from revamping the songs.

Did you stop watching too early?  Gaga did perform Bad Romance.  It was the encore (last song) she performed last night.
