hELXIG 42,954
Is anyone else kinda secretly, selfishly wishing she was a smaller artist? I know everybody focusses so much on her public success but tbh it's so much more enjoyable seeing medium-famous artists live. They tend to have more dates on their tours (actually come to my country), perform more intimate shows in halls or arenas where everyone gets a good view, way less competition for tickets, better crowds because it's only the big time fans who really go crazy and dance and sing and cry together, everyone is more festive and dressed up, generally easier to get up the front in GA. Now that she's so massive with not just 'monster' fans but also the entire GP it all just feels like a f.ucking headache. I'm over this tour already I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. 2

Mr S 8,672
1. It's better for Gaga health. Less dates = less physical stress. Work smarter not harder 2. Gaga is too big for arenas. More fans can see her. 3. Stadiums just add to the grandeur and make her status look bigger. Part of why Eras and Rennassiance tours were so massive is because it was a stadium tour. It took them to another level as touring artists. Obviously arena is better for fans. Hell theaters are even better than both. But all things considered, stadiums is better for Gagas career.
shabody 892
Basically I wanted stadium because for the Milan concerts there were 200k people in line for 2 dates in a 15k seats arena Of course arena concerts are better, but I didn't get the tickets and I guess seeing her from afar would be better than not going to the concert at all
Tinnitus15 51,570
lol went to the eras tour three times and even with all those people, when you put the budget for stage and production the “you can’t see or feel the same way as an arena” goes to the drain. Renaissance was another example. The visuals for it was just superb, so no, stadium shows doesn’t mean you’ll have a bad experience. It was Gaga’s decision to do a small/boxed stage for TCB and that’s it. Edited April 9 by Tinnitus15 1
MOT 3,020
Stadium shows are better than no-shows, but they can't be as good as arena shows. Separately, I like the fact that she feels physically capable of doing 48 shows. TCB was 20.

A Hybrid 11,049
Stadiums are terrible venues for a performance. But it's a chance for all fans to see her, no matter what age, income, or health they have. A mix of arenas and stadiums is best. And I mean, most arena cities now had a Chromatica Ball stadium date three years ago, so I think doing this in arenas is fair. Ziggy 11,759
tbh it's for one reason: my city has a decent queer scene. I have a lot of friends of varying degrees. It's less fun to have everyone spread out over a ton of shows than it is to have everyone at 1 or 2 shows bc the likelihood you'll run into someone you don't see as often but are excited to see is slimmer. Renaissance achieved this and it was a hoot. So, personally, I'll take all the cons for that singular pro bc that pro is such a fun one. I will say having seen Gaga in a stadium before...she was fine. I don't think she had quite cracked how to perform to crowds that large yet on the Joanne tour even if it was fun in the same way Beyonce has for Renaissance (I haven't seen her live prior but i imagine she was just as good there before that, too lol). Maybe she's better now! And that would be a risk I'm willing to take to be with more people I know in one massive spot. It's fun! I get why she's touring this way—strike while the iron's hot so they didnt have a ton of time to plan this thoroughly to get stadiums—but idk...arenas are fun but the energy and scale of a stadium is just wild and she shouldn't sell herself short just to tour sooner. Idk why they think she wouldn't have enough pull next summer to land those when basically no HUGE modern act will be in them? I don't think the point needs to be made that it'd still be about half the distance, if not less. You can use this to compare an equivalent view at the O2 arena: https://3ddigitalvenue.com/3dmap/clients/the-o2-arena-uk/ I'm not trying to argue with you, it's just a matter of cheaper and easier to get (stadiums) vs closer to Gaga and better tech and sound (arenas). Both have their advantages, but let's not pretend that stadiums can be just as good as arenas, especially for people seated and not standing Edited April 9 by A Hybrid No family’s safe when I sashay
