I saw a post online about how it feels like when you're deep in a concept album... And the melody from an earlier track comes out again.

I then realised that this is a thing in many concept albums, to have melodies or lyrics come back in other tracks.

Can you guess when Gaga did that ?

The Born This Way album :tony:

As far as I know this happens twice:

1) Fashion Of His Love:

the bridge echoes the chorus melody of the album's title track "They say I need a strong man, not just a friend. But baby my search is done. No longer reason to cry or to justify. How I feel for you my love."

2) Heavy Metal Lover:

the vocoder bridge ends with "Baby, we were born this way"

It's an amazing detail in the album which makes it cohesive and conceptual in a grand manner, like a rock album from a different era.

Are there other occurrences of this in Gaga songs ?

When she samples just dance in monster.

I always consider the fame and TFM to be two completely seperate albums but they are highly conceptual sister albums nonetheless

In her cover of I Want Your Love with Nile Rogers and CHIC, she says "I want your love" with the same pronunciation as she does when she sings "I want your love" in Bad Romance. I have always thought that was a cute easter egg.

lol not me triple posting but I also love how on Happy Mistake she sings, "How'd I get so addicted, to the love of the whole world?" which seems like a direct reference to the meaning behind Applause.

Isn't there a song later in Mayhem with a melody similar to an earlier track?
