RAMROD 109,707
Oh wow, that is so cool! Hope monsters in Aussie all can go. Including those who had been going to Singapore shows, that is such a treat to see her multiple times isn't it? Most especially at your own home country, like travel is nice, but going to a show where everything is familiar to you? Nothing can beat that (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ dancin' until i'm dead (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡

Yeah, it’s very hard to understand that it was almost impossible to get tickets to see her in arenas can someone please contact a scientist to study and discover why people want stadiums? You can be against stadium tours, but the reasoning is pretty easy.
InTheCloset 20,137
i hope all the stadium shows she is doing are a part of the tour so the gross is higher I hope the exit is joyful and i hope never to return.

Honestly if someone would rather spend $200 to see her in a nose bleed in a stadium than just rewatch one of the past tours from home (for free) that's really their choice... But Stadium Tours are really not that great (and usually way overpriced). And people are being so dramatic, more tickets will crop up eventually ... Venues always keep massive amounts of tickets in reserve. Only the Eras tour was actually impossible to get in if you missed the pre-sale/onsale. I remember for the JWT and Artrave tour you could get front row seats the week before the event at normal, non-inflated prices, and that was back when Gaga was at the height of her popularity... Paying expensive tickets to see her performing on a screen, ugh. This wasn’t an unpopular opinion a month ago. Everyone knows an arena show is a better fan experience than a stadium. It’s just the relative access to to tickets that is making people demand stadiums now, but honestly multiple arenas is the same as one stadium show. 2

Well, actually I got Eras tour tickets the day before the show through the official sale. I don’t think the problem with the Chromatica Ball was the stadiums, but the terrible stage. I was on the floor like 3 rows from the GA barriers and had a terrible experience and couldn’t see **** At Eras, I was at the nose bleeds and honestly it was the best concert I’ve been to, and I’m not even a hardcore swifte. If Mayhem Ball was on stadiums with a stage that isn’t a box like TCB, more fans would be able to see it and it’d probably be cheaper as well even if you are far from the stage, the mood of the show beats anything that you’d see on YouTube. Well there we go, if you were able to get Eras tour tickets the day before then people should be able to get tickets to this show easily imo. That show was really, really hard to get tickets to. (In the UK it was definitely impossible to get tickets, I resold a pair I had and they were snatched up within a minute of me listing them. And this was like 3 months after the onsale had ended so people were just that fast). Chromatica's stage was awful for sure. But also I was on the second row on the lower area of the seated sections (near the piano stage), and the stadium was so big that the view was still awful. I actually found the Eras tour way overhyped. The show didn't really speak to me and I found it really lazily organised (no mash-ups, the eras sequenced in a way that made 0 sense, very minimal staging considering the price of the tickets, etc.) Also all the talking felt so fake. I rewatched the Chromatica ball last night and the talking feels more authentic there. I believe TS has this thing where she'slike "I can see every single one of you" which is obviously such a lie. Gaga was more like "I can feel all the love in this room" which feels a lot more authentic and honest. Honestly having been to the TCB and the RWT, I actually enjoyed the films more than the actual show: you can hear and see way better imo. Obviously stadiums are better in the sense that they allow more people, but I’ve always thought that the arena shows have better production and are generally more creative. You can be against stadium tours, but the reasoning is pretty easy. I think Monket is saying that there are minimum criteria for him so that a concert feels LIVE and PERSONAL, and when it doesn't. And Monket draws a line: that's not the case anymore when he can no longer recognize the artist well and has to rely on the large digital screens. And when you look more at the screens than at the artists themselves then it no longer feels like experiencing it in first person live, but more like a BROADCAST, and then it's not far off that you could actually watch it as a live broadcast in the cinema in the second row, just like with fans in the cinema creating a good atmosphere. Tastes differ. And of course, it depends on where exactly you sit; in the middle of the stadium can be just as bad as at the back of an arena. Perhaps a compromise and 50% arena, 50% stadium in the future? 2 hours ago, monketsharona said: unpopular opinion : I'm so happy she's going arenas because we'll be able to see her far closer than if she were in a stadium tour. Paying expensive tickets to see her performing on a screen, ugh. It's like going to Paris and seeing the Eiffel tower from a distance. Technically, you are in Paris and you see Gaga, but wouldn't we say we really saw Paris and Gaga if we were close to the Eiffel Tower and Gaga? It's live and somehow it isn't live. A hybrid in between. I remember being on a classs trip to Paris and a classamte was excluded from going up the Eiffel Tower becuase he did not obey the rules and he said he feels like he was not really in Paris becuase of that punishment. Even if the source is legitimate, it would be strange to hold stadium tours in the most sparsely populated continent after Antarctica and not US/Europe, where many people would then fly on long-haul flights from outside Australia. Could be a sign that some stadium tours might be added or not in EU/US soon. Bradley 59,173
So basically arenas for where it's competitive to book stadiums, and stadiums for less competitive countries? Truly a mayhem in scheduling but I'm glad they worked it out.

She already said the Mayhem Ball will have details that you simply can't create for stadiums tho, which suggests that the Coachella show might be extended to the stadium shows

Renaissance and The Eras are great on stadiums, and it got all the productions and even catwalk. And the 360 stages from legendary rockstars show at stadium, such as U2 and Metallica are also great. Stadium is usually cheaper than arena if the performer is in high demand. I don't know where you get the impression that stadium would be more expensive. Quite frankly, you're right, you don't know how many stadium shows i've been too. You also don't know how to read what I wrote - like I said, I've been to BOTH the RWT and the Eras tour and the CWT IN the stadium (among many, many other stadium tours), AND also watched the films, therefore comparing my lived experience of the stadiums and my experience of the film. So the only shxt take here is the one of the person who didn't bother to read the comments properly before coming in with their shxt take ...
