Gaga, like all other celebrities, is a business. The reality is that the world is becoming more expensive, not just for us, but also for these stars. The entire touring industry has caught on on how profitable it is so all the costs of touring are going up (travel, accomodation, stage building, etc.) The ticket price increase for all concerts across the board is a reflection of that.

People complaining about the prices also don't take into account that even at these prices the shows did indeed sell out. This is because there were enough fans who were willing to pay the advertised prices. It's an unfair world, not everyone has the same resources and the reality is that in the past 10 years people with resources have become even more wealthy which leads to them being able to pay these prices.

Don't hate the performer, hate the game. If Gaga can't fund her tour/career, there is no more Gaga music to enjoy as well. People need to remember that.

Yea but the problem here is the fact that they allow bots and scalpers to buy affordable tickets and them resale them for INSANE prices. Like I think most of us were in the presale lane way before opening and uppon the refresh there were somehow 5k+ people in line somehow; mostly probably bots so all the tickets appeared on Viagogo and Stubhub asap.
Gaga isn't getting any extra money for those, the person who gave 69€ for a ticket and is selling it for at least 200€ is pocketing 130€. That is the issue, not general ticket prices to a degree as much I guess.

Every fandom mad at ticket prices, but still buys them instead of boycotting ticketmaster so that venues are forced to stop contracting them...:triggered:

Venues will never stop boycotting Ticketmaster because they have a monopoly.

The issue with the queue that happens before the pre-sale starts is that you'll get a randomly assigned number. The first person on the site for the pre-sale can be assigned #40,471 in the queue once the sale starts.

I mean that’s not something to brag about. Arenas… even Tate McRae is selling out some of the same venues where Gaga’s gonna be at :laughga:

Seriously?  Acting like”stadiums” are the only thing worth doing and arenas are trash now? Most tours are arenas. And fans were all bitching that if she only does stadium tours from now on it will suck because you’re so far away from the artist and everyone knows arenas are a better fan experience. And then she does an arena tour because it will be a more intimate fan experience but now everyone is complaining it’s not stadiums. It sounds like Swifties and Beyhive wanting the bragging rights. And making it like it’s a given that an arena tour will always sell out. Tons of artists don’t sell out arena tours. It’s still an accomplishment. Tate is a rising star with a new album that debuted at number one. It’s a weird take that “even Tate” sold out an arena tour is like a drag on all arena tours rather than an accomplishment by Tate.

True. A friend of mine (which was in line with me to get my tickets) didn't receive the code to get in, got it literally three mins before the queue started and still got a much better number than me lmao

Miami on September 3rd still has a bunch of standard (non-resale) seats. I haven't checked every single date and city, but I wouldn't say "sold out" for this show, even though Ticketmaster is claiming so. There are still like hundred of blue dots.

This is totally true. They’re not “allowing scalpers to go in first, it’s completely random the order of who gets in. My husband and my friend all logged on at the same time at 11:30 and I logged in 2 mins later, and I had something like 2378 and they had 5000+ and 22,000+!

Most of the complaints have been about Ticketmaster and Dynamic Pricing, NOT people reselling on secondary sites. That has unfortunately always been a problem and always will be.

And for whatever it's worth, depending on the region it's not that easy to bot the system. In the UK I kept getting kicked out because they thought I was a bot so I cannot imagine a bot being more successful at getting a ticket.

For  artists, who recently debuted lol, except Katy Perry but we know why she’s doing arenas :cryga:

Suggesting that “all established artists only do stadiums” is certainly a take.

But that’s the case my god. Look everyone

Taylor- no need to mention her tbh

Beyoncé- hasn’t stepped her foot in an arena since 2014

Shakira- Upgraded her arena tour to stadiums loooll

Dua lipa- with barely 3 albums she’s already doing stadiums too. Not a whole stadium tour but she booked Wembley this summer, going LATAM stadiums too

Adele- a whole “stadium” built for her in Munich.
The Weeknd- a stadium tour.

Lana Del Rey- booking Wembley too.

Kendrick Lamar- a stadium tour.
so tell me is this certainly a take?

Not all established artists, but the legendary ones are. From this messy sales for Mayhem tour alone, it is proven arenas simply too small and doesn't suit Gaga anymore rn. This is a fact, literally happening before our eyes. All these multiple dates on arenas can simply compressed into 2 stadium dates on each cities. And she might even do the 3rd ones since there are so many fans who are still not able to get tickets. This is simply not a point of debate anymore, LBR about it.

Well I wouldn't "hate" on them for it but when performers can partially change the game's rules and doesn't it gonna disappoint. Not allowing dynamic pricing like Taylor, Ed, The Cure did would be great and the examples of Billie/ sabrina to diminish scalpers impact shows options are on the table to give fans a better treatment.

We all heard about tours expenses and their overall giant final benefit when it does well. Gaga selling out arenas & stadiums worldwide since many years can absolutely "fund a tour". Also, aside tours, her label pays for her albums making so she'll never be unable to make music neither, even if she was broke. And we talk about Gaga who spent 22 millions on a property then 5 on an other before to invest 6 joining the beauty industry etc... Don't worry she's far from lacking funds for anything lol.

I don't hate the performer. If I did, I wouldn't have just dropped more than an entire paycheck on tickets :laughga:

But you can't pretend she's powerless to change something about the fact that her fans are having to drop so much money or be priced out of attending.

At this rate she really will just end up with a crowd of bored affluent people some day.
