I want to see how many actually were able to buy tickets at the right price and how many were ripped off. I have the impression that a tiny percentage were able to access a fair purchase and that the vast majority were ripped off with these fraudulent maneuvers.

I wasn't a victim of dynamic pricing. Gaga just set the prices incredibly high for most sections, with some completely mediocre sections ridiculously boosted as 'premium' seats.

I still don't fully understand what dynamic pricing is :traumatica:

I do know $500+ is absolutely f*cking ridiculous for a seat. But...I paid it so I guess that's why they do it.

Absolutely bleeding people dry with these prohibitively high prices.

I understand that the latter is what is known as the “Platinum Packages” or “Platinum Tickets” scam. It is included in the second option

Dynamic pricing is something that was implemented in the United States/North America that consists of seat prices adjusting (increasing, basically) according to demand. The more people are “looking” to buy them, the higher the price.

In Europe this was not implemented this way. What was implemented was the Platinum Packages or Platinum Tickets, which consisted of tickets in non-privileged locations at very high prices. In other words, you pay triple for the same location. For practical purposes, it is just as repudiatory, fraudulent and unethical as the dynamic pricing.

in dynamic pricing lets say a ticket has a default 'face value' of $100. maybe its a nosebleed. if you are the only one looking at tickets then it will cost you $100 for that seat.

if 100 people are trying to get tickets then they might increase that same seat to $200

if 5000 people are trying to get tickets then they might increase that same seat to $300

and so on

In some examples (I think Bruce Springsteen was a major one) you had tickets that had a face value of $120 selling for $1400.

Imagine sitting in the nose bleeds which you paid $1400 for and the person sat next to you tells you they spent $120 because they were at the front of the virtual queue

I know it's hard to deal with a demand so huge it requires stadiums when you decided to go for arenas to better control stuffs...

But she knew the demand would be gigantic so I don't understand why they didn't at least chose the bigger arenas available...

And let's not even start with dynamic pricing and platinum BS. 😆

Many will not have a ticket and the ones who will gonna pay a shameful amount. It really sucks. :saladga:

Part of me believes, even if it hurts, that everything was planned. I mean, evidently there is a huge degree of improvisation and a lot of messiness. But it seems to me that they liked the fact of doing the tour in small venues, because it allowed them to speculate even more with the dynamic price and the platinum tickets. People know there are few seats available > they get desperate to get them > they don't get them > one shows up but it's triple what they were willing to pay > they know that if they pass up that chance they'll be left with nothing > they get into debt and buy it. This way, if you are the artist, you end up having practically the same profit margin as if the tour were in stadiums, or even more.

They could have definitely done more to protect the fans, that's for sure.

The smaller venues are 'cause they were booking what was available on short notice 'cause she legit wasn't planning on touring this year :rip: I can name three arenas in Florida that are bigger than the one she's going to in Miami but they must have all been booked already for those dates.

I definitely prefer the smaller venues, they make for better shows, and the arena I'm seeing her in is tiny so there's really not a bad seat in the house. You give a little (a lot, really) and get a little.

Paid a lil over $1.3k for 3 lower level seats. I usually do floor when I go alone but I wasn’t about to spend 1400 on a single floor ticket :ohwell:

all I know is it might not be her last tour but it’ll probably be mine for a while :traumatica:

I monitored and went through the stages of grief from the moment the sales started at noon and accepted my fate at around 8pm and said that this might be my only chance to see her. During those 8 hours I saw ticket prices fluctuate for the same seats by about $100. I also saw seats that we right next to each other being priced differently.
