It was nice this sounds like fanfiction

Carry on... im not trolling in what universe is a song that peaked at #13 a general public hit??? its currently at #38 for a song to be a HIT, it has to atleast chart within the top 10 once, ideally it would stay there. DWAS is a hit its been in the top 10 ever since it was released. pls stop being delulu and doing mental gymnastics to make yourself feel better about abra underperforming. as fans we love it, abra was cute but lets not lie to ourselves

But also, your definition of a "hit song" is wild imo any song that makes it to the top 200 is a hit 'cause imagine how many hundreds of thousands of songs could be charting right this second and Abracadabra is #38? That's honestly impressive to me idk. Not here for the "hit" discourse lmao. People at least know the song as a TikTok sound, just like Bloody Mary or Judas, and we call them "hits" too. 🥀

I don't really care either way, my favorite songs barely ever chart above 100 🥀
RochesterJoannster 3,692
It’s at least a moderate hit in the US. If it wasn’t, it wouldn’t be growing on radio two months after release, and it wouldn’t have stayed inside the top 40 for its entire run like it has. cathair96 33
It's definitely her most successful dance pop solo hit of the streaming era, no debate but I think it's a collective queer hit across different queer fandoms, and not so much a GP hit like DWAS Number of streams while the song has also been in the Top 200 Spotify chart (monitors popularity success) Total number of streams regardless of being in the Top 200 chart (monitors longevity success)
