GoldenPonyboy 2,377
Floor seats are the worst. If theres a tall person in front of you, you cant move or do anythibg. You just miss the whole show.

There are laws in Europe that restrict pricing, so having a pit makes more sense. Since the US does not have those restrictions, the floor seats can make tenfold more money. I wouldn’t mind as much if not for the dynamic pricing, which I find to be criminal personally. There are essentially people who will end up paying the same amount for nosebleeds than someone on the floor just based on timing of purchase and how many eyes are on tickets. It’s incredibly gross and capitalistic to me. I’ve been to many of her shows since 2009 and this is the first time I’ve felt exploited for money. Maybe this is a bit selfish, especially because I’m privileged enough to be able to go, but the thought of someone who doesn’t care as much to be there paying less for a better seat when her shows and her music mean so much to me is upsetting. I’m still excited for the show for sure, this layer takes away from it a bit though. I really hope some laws happen that prohibit things like dynamic pricing. Its design seems to really hurt the bigger fans that want tbe tickets right away. I’ve seen Gaga live so many times and have never paid more than 100 for GA. I didn’t go to the Chromatica ball though. So this is the first time I had to deal with dynamic pricing because it seems to have been implemented in like the last 5 years. It’s so crazy how bad it’s gotten.

I had floor seats at Elton John and Stevie Nicks for example. The prices in the US have always been astronomically higher than in Europe, that's nothing new. Administration fees also are crazy high in the US. Keep in mind though that the average income in Europe is a lot lower than the US as well, even compared to a 'wealthy' country like the Netherlands. I do think the music industry is exploiting music lovers because they cannot make enough money on music sales anymore. Only rich people can go to concerts now, it's messed up. Dynamic pricing should be illegal globally and Ticketmasters monopoly needs to be ended. A European Chromatica Ball Golden circle early entry ticket was about €260, bow that price has nearly doubles to €496, it's insane. Eras tour was completely seated and those fans weren't elderly TCB floor was seated apart from a small GA. Everyone on the floor ran to the second stage & left their chairs for her piano section

Part of me feels bad for sure, but especially after sleeping on streets, not as much. As mother says, I was born this way.

And like I said seated GA is uncommon and more common for artists with older fans. Taylor Swift had a giant standing GA when she performed in Amsterdam. According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

On GA floor theres no issues, ill move somewhere else, but when it is seated and you cannot move, and u cant see anything, thats when its annoying. Or got forbid theres a drag queen on stilletos with hair up to the sky and huge shoulder pads. Love the look but time and place hun. salty like sodium 1,302
People who are saying it's a money thing are completely wild... Do you even know how much money gets lost by having sitting there? The amount of people you can squeeze into a GA floor is like five times the amount you can fit when you put seats there... So even if the tickets were priced higher (and again, you can price standing however you want), you're still losing a lot of money and attendance. Not to mention that renting/buying/storing/cleaning chairs costs more than letting people stand... CatelynnMarie 4,406
A lot of what’s being spoken about within the discussion of this tour and pricing, why things are the way they are, is part of why I’ve been feeling disconnected to Gaga for a bit of time now. For the past few years, I think I’ve tried to force holding on, but I think maybe I’ve become too detached to her as an artist after she put a lot more focus into the business aspect of things. It’s smart for her to be doing this and making the choices she’s made, but it sucks as a fan of the artist and the art they create, to kind of see things being twisted into a more business venture than a creative focused one. I have a multitude of reasons why I’ve bowed out of this tour, and my heart not being in it is one of them. Artists really need to start taking a stand, as Robert Smith of The Cure has done. Dynamic pricing and greed are ruining the live music experience for any fan of music, regardless the genre or artist. Anyone should have the opportunity to experience live music from the artists and bands who create and perform art that connects us all, not just the uber wealthy or manipulating those with fomo, who cannot afford it, and sometimes put themselves in debt (although, this is a personal issue to those people because those are personal choices made and no one is ultimately to blame than the person who made those choices, but hopefully the sentiment is taken properly). I’m scheduled for a few concerts this year, gratefully, plans that were made way before this, and I think it may be my last ones for a while, maybe other than some smaller acts here and there or if I get an opportunity to go to a bigger artist at some other points, but I don’t think, even if I had tons of money to blow, that I’d really continue supporting this as loosely as I have over the past handful of years. I knew it would be bad with Gaga, but didn’t realize to of what extent. It has saddened me to see, especially with this artist, as a fan since 2008. this tour will probably be visually mind blowing, and I do look forward to seeing live streams/ videos/ hearing stories of the fans who are attending. I am hopeful that it will be an amazing time for anyone going. Gaga always puts on an incredible live show and I know each night will be extremely fun and hype. OT, I prefer seats and think the extra money is worth it (although extremely scummy in how things are currently handled). I know a lot of people don’t like this setup, but I appreciate it as an audhd person who gets overstimulated easily/ gets sick in over crowded areas. Maybe I don’t equate to all attendees, but I know there are many other disabled people/ those who are similar to me out there who want to have opportunities to see their faves closer to the stage in a more organized, safer format than just, bodies on top of bodies, or a not so great accessible section somewhere in the venue. 2School4Cool 6,429
Most shows I’ve been too in an arena have had floor seats, I’m sure it just has to do with logistics and stage setup 🤷♂️ See The Best In Everyone
