If all you want from Gaga is to have a smash hit, then let her erase her true artistic identity, and start releasing generic pop songs. Yes it would be a hit, but that song is not Gaga or Mayhem, and none of her fans love that song.

Cherry Cherry Boom Boom?  Gaga is not new to sugary fun pop.  May not be your cup of tea, but I think it’s a nice diversion here and there.  Oh, and I’m a fan, and I find myself returning to this song over and over.  Makes me feel good, and I think it’s a very well-written song.

Yeah, even though it’s not my favorite, it’s undeniably a very well-written, well-performed, and well-produced track. The only thing I’m worried about is her getting flack for it sounding too much like Taylor, but I doubt that’d turn into a serious issue.

Understandable for sure - “First she wanted to steal Madonna’s sound, now Taylor’s!” However, I think Taylor would come out in full support.

Gaga never did sugary pop music, even the ones that sound very pop was done on purpose with hidden meaning behind it. For example, do you actually think Gaga thought she was singing a rap song with Jewels N Drugs? its obviously meant to be bad and messy for a reason.
