Citi Presale

So I saw that Citi is doing a presale on Monday….I do have a Citi credit card, but I don’t wanna pay with a credit card (I don’t even have enough available credit lol).
am I still able to access the Citi presale and use just a regular debit card from a different bank?

my other plan was putting all my concert money towards the debt I have on Citi, then just using the Citi card and it’ll probably just put me right back where I started. Idk if that made sense yall.

any advice or tips??

So when I did the Citi presale for the last leg of Jazz & Piano, I HAD to pay with a Citi card. I tried to use a different card and it would not let me complete the transaction.

You had to pay with citi upon checkout for citi presales.

Years ago, it would allow payment with a different card. But in the last 5 years or so it has required that I pay with a Citi card.

My mom has a citi card. Can I use hers or does she have to show up with her ID at the concert?

I don't have first hand experience with this (I always used my own), so I am not sure unfortunately. If I had to guess, I would think you can use one that is in someone else's name.

you need to link a citi credit card to your account, preferably in advance so that it isn't wasting time while you are trying to pick seats and checkout. then during the actual sale they will ask you to verify the last 4 digits of the citi card to enter the presale.  if you know someone that has a citi card that is not linked to their ticketmaster account, they could give you the card number just to enter the sale, and then use any other card to actually checkout with.  i can't say with 100% certainty that this will be the same method this time, but that is how i did it for era tour tickets. good luck!

yes, you can. you really should only need your mom's citi card to enter the sale, but should be able to use any card to actually checkout. if you pay with your mom's credit card, it has nothing to do with who actually attends the concert so no worries on that front.  good luck!

keep in mind that this is what i did for era tour tickets in 2023, but it could be different per artist, per venue, per ticketmaster discretion, so i can't be 100% positive that you don't have to use a citi card to pay, but definitely your mom does not have to show up to the concert at all for certain.
