"I spent Mother's Day sewing and creating this piece for Mother Monster.

I can't put into words how much work it took to get here. I remember sitting on my sister's couch 15 years ago on a street off High Street in Oakland, living on welfare, listening to Lady Gaga.

I never felt like I had a place in the fashion world before her. It wasn't until I discovered her work and watched the video for 'Bad Romance' that everything changed. She opened up a world I didn't even know existed. She made me feel like I could belong somewhere. SHE INSPIRED THAT.

She gave me a reason to get up and chase my dreams, and 15 years later, she's wearing a custom CANDICE CUOCO look, still making me feel like I have a place in this crazy world of design.
