I don’t deny it’s a fantastic song and one of Chromatica’s best, but we can’t keep discussing that album and era as if it existed in a vacuum and wasn’t totally derailed by both Covid and BLM. We should be glad we somehow (considering the lack of preparation in previous eras for things like MVs) got 2 singles and MVs in the lead up to that album, including 1 that gave Gaga her 5th #1 and biggest Pop hit in 7 years at that time.
