Zombieboy = Telephone sequel?

I've been thinking about the possibility of Zombieboy as a single and the video it could have. I can't imagine another video based entirely on choreography like Abracadabra, because any effort would pale in comparison to it. So I think it's a great opportunity to bring back a cinematic, narrative video in the old Gaga style. From this, it occurred to me that it could be the sequel to Telephone (why not?) or, more accurately, the third part of Paparazzi. I imagined Alexander Skarsgård coming back to play Gaga's dead boyfriend, the real Zombieboy, who haunts her. Here we'd have to think about how the plot would continue, but I think it could be interesting. Another option, and this one came to my boyfriend's mind, is to bring back Jo Calderone. This occurred to him from the very mysterious way she referred to this alterego in the lie detector video (“this person is no longer with us”, as if he had died), right after she was asked about the sequel to Telephone.... I don't know, I think these are cool ideas. What do you think?

I really don’t think that we’re ever actually getting the Telephone sequel. I think Gaga keeps alluding to it just to tease, keep us on our toes, or for the sake of publicity/headlines. If it were going to happen this era then Don’t Call Tonight would be the most obvious card to pull, though I don’t think that song is single and music video worthy. Paparazzi part 2 via ZombieBoy would be cute, especially because she’s definitely honoring a lot of her earliest influences and sounds in this album, but I don’t see Gaga nodding to her roots in such an obvious way. She’s more subtle and refined than that now. It’ll come in sounds, lyrics (“watch the princess die”), maybe little visual references here and there, but to outright do a “part 2” of any of these things would be too abrupt I think. It’s still fun to speculate though.

I think Gaga is more open to doing what fans and the public want, and shes enjoying it too, but im not sure. But from how shes been responding to the Telephone sequel, I dont think Beyonce will be involved.

I agree, it's not gonna be soon as we think.

It's probably gonna be Killah, if it's gonna happen.

Yes, I quite agree with you. What I propose is more a speculation to play with than anything else haha. I too think it's unlikely that the follow-up to Telephone will happen, but I thought it could be a good move to capitalize on some of the hype and try to prevent the video/single from not doing very well, something that could happen given that it's pretty unpredictable how hits do or don't happen. I mean, nothing is guaranteed anymore in that sense: one day you can have a huge hit with Abracadabra and the next day nothing.

Would definitely be a smart move marketing wise!

Regardless of whether she continues a previous plot line or not a ZombieBoy music video could be so fun. The Michael Jackson video tribute is right there begging to be had.
