Y'all are saying Taylor and yep Gaga might took some inspo from her but also 80s singers such as Debbie Gibson. 

But I noticed that this song sounds a bit like "The Cure" and "Love me right" too.

Yeah, it definitely harkens back to Gaga’s 80s synthpop roots as well as her roots in early naughts “girlie pop” (a la Ally in ASIB), but it’s honestly the lyrics and the rhythmic music phrasing, as well as certain production nuances, that also evoke Taylor Swift.

Now that I think about it, HBDYWM sounds a lot like Hair, Body, Face; just 2010s 80s inspired pops version, and not 2018 tropical house sounding.
