Coulorcraft 170
First off I'm OBSESSED! Second- I wanted to create a thread specifically for your personal reviews! This way its all one place and not spread out on so many threads. You've had some time to digest and hear the album as a whole.....How do we feel?! Coulorcraft 170
I have to say... I rarely am hooked on a first listen, but this album kept GIVING. We have tracks that sound completely original and some that evoke an artist from gaga past in such a strong way. It's giving bowie, prince, Michael, blondie. It's everything, and such a turn from what I thought we were getting. I always go back to that interview in 2014 (I think) where gaga says "I am every artist". She really is an emalgamation of pop cultural influence, that really makes her so unique. I can't wait to see what she performs on SNL, because I think it could really be anything. PartySick 157,374
It's gonna take me a long time to find the words 'cause Mayhem is very much giving Joanne in that she's saying one thing but I'm hearing or feeling something entirely different 💔thought we'd last a lifetime when I'm mumbling alone💔 1
RenegAde 18,873
For now I just like how every song is fully fleshed out and even given proper outros unlike chromatica where most songs felt like they ended too soon before the climax 1
Tony31511 305
It’s an amazing album. However, I was expecting the feel and tone of the album to be more like Disease and Abracadabra… so I’m slightly disappointed about that. A lot of the songs have a groovy/disco/funk feel and it doesn’t really fit the dark-gothic aesthetic of the album. But she made some pretty dang good songs and I’m warming up to them as time goes by. I like Shadow Of A Man and Killah a lot!
VasilisVas 5,133
I don’t like the album. I like about 5 songs. Some songs even sound the same and I probably wouldn’t know what I’m listening to unless I look at the title. I wasn’t even able to go through Killah and how bad do you want me entirely. I’m let down by the album but I will continue to enjoy the 4-5 songs I actually like.
Bobina 2,024
I'm feeling very lucky to be one of the ones who loved it on first listen. It's totally normal to need to familiarize yourself with new music before it starts really hitting; that happened with Chromatica with me. But with Mayhem, the only song I was kind of thrown by at first was Killah. But even that song is a totally sick jam to me now, especially after discussing the song with my sister. And I love that scream she does. That must be the other record she was talking about when she was discussing the Abracadabra scream in that one interview she did. "634 blowjobs in 5 days. I'm really quite tired."

Feels so much more vibrant.
Bradley 58,852
It's a masterpiece and impossible to pick a favourite. Every single song is terrific. The only one that I think could use some improvement is Can't Stop The High. How Bad Do U Want Me is one of the highlights and I won't tolerate any slander towards it.
Alfonso 1,547
It's a great album though I wouldn't really say it's a smoothie of genres like we originally thought. While some songs are different than others, it's very cohesive and solid. There's lot of influences like many have said. Punk, Pop, etc. DWAS does fit the concept but I do wish we would've gotten a couple of songs in the style of Abra and Disease. I wonder what the new single will be, hopefully Dance or Perfect Celebrity. I also wonder if she'll perform all songs live and how different it will be in terms of choreography for some of these songs.
eifulien 2,937
I find it very funny that the fandom was worried about DWAS not fitting only for us to get an album where Disease and Abracadabra feel like outliers. Overall, I feel positive about the album. The Killah to Shadow of a Man run of songs is amazing. Yes, How Bad Do U Want Me sounds good to me. Apart from the 2 singles, my highlights are Shadow, Killah, Zombieboy and LoveDrug (I adore this song!). Perfect Celebrity and Garden of Eden are overrated. The worst part for me is the ending of the album. I haven't been able to go through The Beast and Blade of Grass a second full listen, total snoozefest and too annoying after Shadow. Kill for Love should be on the standard edition as well, tbh. Can't stop the High, well, I regret buying the store exclusive CD just for this, since I don't like the cover either. I'd say it has the potential to become a Gaga classic with time, I'm very intrigued by the lyrics, it feels different and fresh from her.
