At the first 2 album listens, I thought why is this the song chosen to be playlisted on New Music Spotify playlists. At 3rd listen, I have to say the song does have single qualities to it.

Mayhem definitely have that New Romantic/Early New Wave funky romanticism. Even bands like ABC are there in the layers.

Yeah. I also hear the typical tinsel flashiness of the 80's New Wave in the guitar and piano sound over the whole album. The Fountainhead' Voice of Reason for instance comes to mind...

Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

This explains why I don't love it... I'm not a big fan of "anthemic" songs, that seems made for crowds, and the way she extends the notes to follow the music (don't know how to explain it in technical terms lol). It also reminds me of Gipsy, which I think is my least favorite Gaga song.

With that being said, I don't think it's a bad song at all, and don't plan to skip or anything, it's just not my favorite cup of tea

“Can I vanish into you” is SO melodically the woah oh caught in a bad romance when she strips it down for piano. Really nice bc it probably wasn’t intentional just her style. It’s my most gone back to so far. It’s got great hooks and no objectively clunky lyrics

This and "Blade of Grass" are my two favorites from the album thus far; it was totally love at first listen. "Vanish into You" is that banger for me. It's "Summerboy's" grown up sister. I can't wait to dance to this at the Mayhem Ball. It's one of my favorite Gaga songs in a long time, and will probably end up one of the top 10 (if not top 5). I can't yet articulate the combination of euphoria and wistfulness I feel while listening to this––it's a song I can dance to with tears streaming down my face. It definitely has a nostalgic feeling for me.

I appreciate how all of the tracks are longer and feel more complete and fleshed-out than a lot of songs these days.

this song is so sad and yet so inspiring, it's top 5 easily if not top 3. Like please bring me my tissues because I'm in my feelings :traumatica:

Love this! I think with a bit of promo and a good music video, this has the potential to blow up.

The opening acapella might not be the best bit for streaming, so maybe it would benefit mainstream-wise from a single edit where the beat goes in instantly.

I just LOVE the dark imagery of this album, it really is a gothic dream

When she says she wanna be a ghost and vanish into another person is such a sad picture because becoming a ghost is almost like losing your identity and everything that make you, becoming a shell of someone you once were, specially when she says she wanna just disappear on someone else. But in the context of the song, is so beautiful and romantic

I don't know how to write in english

It's so beautiful -- simple melody with masterful production. SIRENS BLOW BY -- SO MUCH ARTPOP IN THE WAY SHE SINGS THAT PART!!!

ugh I'm going to cry to this song so much, I can already feel it -- especially every time the chorus hits

it just feels like a song to bawl to while hugging yourself
