It's obviously about anger pointed at everyone from her label, to her fans, to the media. We all love to hate/criticize/objectify her but she is everything that's wanted of her, at least a half of her that shows itself every once in a while. It's hard not to relate to that as a gay man that has faced criticism and harsh words from people that are supposed to love you and the world in general. Many thought the album would be ‘Dark Pop’, but when it leaned into an '80s disco/synth sound, they clung to PC as the only song that fit their expectations.
